Storm v Dragons

Dragons lost because they can't handle playing in front of large crowds at large staudiums. Hence why they choose dumps like oki doki stadium(oxi moron calling it that I gather) playing in front of 7-8000 ppl rather then 25,000+ crowds the Storm enjoy.

Chokers.

Good arguement. Probably the reason why dragons beat Brisbane at Suncorp like 7 years in a row with 40,000+ each time.

lol. A gee up surely.

Now say all that back in reverse to get the facts.

Dragons have played in front of the largest crowds in NRL history and at the largest stadiums. A very good win record at Lang Park.

There is no OKI stadium - OKI haven't been involved as sponsors for ages now. Try and keep up.

It's spelt 'oxymoron', moron, and you should look up it's meaning.

Crowds at Kogarah are around 16-20,000 - last year some opposition supporters were whinging about the ground being sold out.

Storm home crowds are usually around 10-12,000 - plenty of elbow room.

I know we worried them, at that was with no speed or support play.
The Dragons v Cowboys game? When did they worry them? In Wollongong Saints never looked like losing.

Lowest Kogarah crowd last year was against the Knights and it was 13500 or so from memory. Kogarah average was around 17.5k, WINgong was a bit lower, there were two 11k ish crowds there which pulled the overall average down a touch.

I think from memory we had the 5th highest crowds for 2009. Trick is for Dragons and all other clubs is to turn casual fans into loyal members.

Cool...this thread turned into a Dragons v Parra scrap.
It always ends that way doesnt it?
As much as people "think" they despise the Storm, they hate the other Sydney clubs more.
I think most Bulldogs or Dragons fans would be happy for the Storm to go back to back if it meant beating Parra in the Gf again. Likewise Eels fans would be more than happy for anything bar Doggie and Dragons premiership.

You don't know sh*t do you. We got them all before anyone heard of them. They became rep players while they were with us. We have kept the neucleus of our side on long term deals and continually sign no name players and turn them into possible rep players.

You seem to forget the amount of players we have had to let go to stay under the cap.

THOR, its no coincidence that you are defending them, after all it is the storm who invented this style to play with cheapy tactics. But at least the nrl turn a blind eye and allow the storm to rort the salary cap and buy one third of the australian national squad, so you have gamebreakers that can turn it on when they want to.

Epic bump.

If you blindly followed the thread and tuned out for the rest of the year after it, then you'd assume the following happened:
1) melbourne didn't get nailed for rorting the cap
2) Parra / storm won the GF
3) NQ were rated a top tier team
4) In round 1, parra showed why they can win the GF and the dragons can't....................... this was repeated until it became a mathematical impossibility for parra to even make the 8
5) Saints can't score points
6) Saints were destined not to win another game all year

In case you did miss the rest of season 2010 - Saints won the GF, won it well, melbourne were exposed and disgraced for the frauds they were, Hayne played like a busted arse, Slater f**ked up at international level again, the roosters regained a hell of a lot of credibility, a few other teams showed they had nothing when it mattered, the tigers couldn't handle the pressure, phil gould got busted sucking off a horse, Fein was raped in prison (imprisoned for impersonating a horse) and monaghan sucked off a dog.
the end.

So it was YOU who placed that bet at Crown Casino on the evening of the 21st of April..... :sarcasm:
