Apparently DMM from NZwarriors asked Richard Becht if it was true, his response was along the lines of no he is a Warrior.

Of course he would say that. Because DMM is so privileged to such information before it has been put to general release.

In my opinion, DMM showed some naivety in seeking the Warriors' affiliation. What was he really hoping to gain, a free flow of information to the fans??? The concept is flawed. I doubt any club does that and I seriously hope that no one expects them to. Why should they???

And yes, I do lurk around nzwarriors.com, but I think the site is very anal in it's approach and am surprised that the likes of Whoknows7 is allowed to circulate rumours such as this. Sure, they may not be demeaning or damaging. But they do start off stupid wild goose chases such as this very thread.

Vinnie Anderson will struggle for a place in the Warriors line up this year, but there are others who will too. It just depends how much money's worth you want lingering in the Bartercard Cup.

What he hoped to gain was: A link to increase hits and hence increase the range of posters, and yes, the ability to cross-use stories in the respective news areas.

Naivity? No, just a good solid heart and a hell out of lot of committment and initiative.

As far as rumours go, thats the basis of most forums. Its predictions in most cases. While I doubt its validity quite vehemontly, some of these rumours do turn out to be true.

If a link is what DMM was hoping to achieve. Then a better way to go about it would have been to request a Link to the site via a link page. I don't think that is too much to ask of a rather inferior site that warriors.co.nz is.

I don't doubt DMM's heart or commitment to the site. I have a lot of respect for people who maintain websites well. I just think that asking for a direct affiliation to the official Warriors website is a bit naive considering that his site is essentially a Forum site.

There is a difference between a rumour and a prediction. And I disagree that it's the basis of most forums. They just seem to infest forums, then everyone takes the bait and start endless threads as if it has been signed, sealed and confirmed. That's what bugs me.

Yip it seems true heres the story

Broncos sign Kiwi international

Anderson was released from his Warriors' contract
Super League side London have signed Kiwi international Vinnie Anderson after he was released from his contract with New Zealand Warriors.
The versatile 26-year-old has signed a three-year deal and is likely to play in the back row or centre.

Broncos coach Tony Rea said: "Vinnie is a very determined character and he will be good for our club.

"What really catches my eye when I see him play is the way he looks like a specialist in every role he fills."

Anderson, who played alongside his younger brother Louis in the Gillette Tri-Nations Series, made his Test debut against Australia in October

Once again Who Knows7 was on the money.

If there's one poster we tend to let "rumours" run, it's him and it's not easy to see why.

won't say what my initial reaction was, but is it a case of deja vu for 2005?

I don't have too much problem with him going, because I think it
will rejuvinate his career (as well as get him heaps of $'s).

It's the way the Warriors have handled it that galls me once again

.....and I thought they were moving forward

Frustrating, isn't it?

Just when you think things may have changed, this happens.

Can't really say I blame the club, as there's no point annuncing that a player might be leaving until it's definite, it only causes people to question their loyalty in the event that the player stays.
And good that they didn't use him in the trial when they would've realised he was likely going.
I wonder if the club had finally decided that he was not a centre (like we've been saying for the last two years) and then realised that we were too top-heavy in second-rowers. I'd like to see us beef up our propping stocks a little.
