Scary thing is, the Patriots can only get better next year with all the draft picks and the chance to fix there D through FA.

I know things happen throughout the season, but with the shocking state the AFC east is in, the Pats have every chance to make it back next year.

The Jets and Bills won't get close I don't think, too many problems all starting at QB. The Fins on the other hand are really only a good QB away from being a very good team

Another epic Superbowl. The last 4 minutes was intense. Eli Manning, what can you say, clutch. Wes Welker makes that catch and the Patriots win, simple as that.

Brady and Belichick looked shell shocked and haunted in the post game. This is a stinging loss, eerily similar to 2007. Great drama.

Giants have been involved in two of the best games I've ever seen now I think, in consecutive weeks no less

And if he or branch caught catches they take 99% of the year they would have 4, again for the 3rd game in a row the best team lost

Ausk totally disagree, the giants game management was first class today, they controlled the game beautifully, belicheck management was awful, his receivers were IMO very ordinary, catches have to stick in these games, no excuses IMO.

But as pointed out earlier the pats will be a lot better next season with hopefully a revamped defense, they had a great year considering the abysmal d they have

I'm not so sure about the Pats for next year. I thought Brady was average down the stretch and he will be 35 next season. I think he might start tapering off. Yes, he had a good year stats wise but he didn't look as sharp as he usually does IMO.

If welker catches with 4 mins to go inside 25 yards, all they need then is 1 first down, at worst a fg and gives manning maybe 50 secs instead of 3:34

In the end the patriots lost themselves the game same as the 49ers 2weeks ago.

But as said with a solid draft and FA they could get back there next year.

Also a side note if gronk was fit the game would have been over by the end of the 3rd

yep
welker cost em bad.

wasnt the toughest catch in the world.

they really missed the gronk actually being fit. a fit gronk catches that bomb at the 10 and then they probably drive in for another score. that was a game changing play. perhaps underthrown a tad but he was under immense pressure. saw him 1 on ...

as for Eli...amazing throw to manningham. led the drive well. did enough to win the game.

sad the season is over.

i thought the pats defense wasnt all that flash. and they made some bad errors too. the safety, the 12 men on the field for the fumble....the penalty when they had em pinned on 3rd and long...

giants made the plays. deserved to win.

Brady should be fine next year, its just with no run game it makes it all him to win the games, plus with mallett being groomed the rodgers way they will be fine

Like i said the best team lost the last 3 games, the ravens should have gone through but a stupid mistake cost them, same as nincovich with the penalty

As soon as the Giants beat my Cowboys in wk 17 I knew it was going to be their season.

For mine they had the best all-round team in the playoffs.

Their defense in the last 5 games gave up just 70 points. Thats an average of 14 points a game.

Offense may get you to the playoffs, but defense wins you playoff games.

It is now that I can admit that I have a soft spot for Big Blue despite them being in the NFCE?

Maybe its the fact they are the organisation I wish the Skins would become..... dont really know.

Anyway, happy with the result. Was a good game and showed how great football is. I dont really recall a 3 and out, which is the hardest thing for the casual watcher to overcome.
