Great player. No doubt about it. As was Cunningham but playing and coaching ability has to be separated. Someone said which coach would I go for .that's not hard there's 12 super league clubs any of the other 11 . Some even blame Woolf. That's how untouchable wellens is.

He's learning his trade now at Oldham so he would certainly be in the mix. And he's been a few different clubs learning. I'm not certain but I heard he fell out with certain people at saints. Wether it's true I dunno . Now were being told we need pace in our backs so what do we do. We keep hurrell. Because he's devastating with speed. 🤣🤣

I don't think he would be accepted as he's pretty much stated he hates us as U can see when we play Leigh they're thugs so I really doubt him. We should have gone for brad Arthur instead of sitting doing nothing. Id even take Daryl Powell were that bad

I usually take anything the RFL say with a pinch of salt but this could actually be true with the Leigh leopards and Hull KR flying high both on and off the pitch.

warrington wolves also.
Its a shame HKR are likely to play Warrington in semi. That would have made for a great final and a bumper crowd.

Yeah it would have been great for both clubs and super as a whole.

didnt hull fc break the record attendance when they reached their 1st grandfinal against saints around 10 years ago?

Super League attendances are marginally down for the 2024 season, with an 0.87% decrease on the figures posted last year. The competition saw an average of 9,189 per match, 81 lower than 2023's figure of 9,270.

Nonetheless, it's still a big jump on the 8,267 average recorded in 2022, and when taking into consideration the one change in club, isn't too much of a concern. That change, London Broncos in for Wakefield Trinity, saw the biggest shift in figures, with the Broncos recording a 26.2% decrease on Trinity's 2023 average.
In total, six clubs saw increases to their average attendances from 2023, while five clubs saw decreases. Recording the biggest average was Wigan Warriors at 14,909, over a 1,412 difference from 2023 and a 10.5% increase. The biggest increase in the competition was at Leigh Leopards, with the Leythers recording an 8,390 average, 1,137 more than 2023, for a 15.7% increase.

Hull KR also posted a significant increase, with the club recently confirming their highest average attendance ever. The Robins averaged 9,883 this season, a jump of 1,133 from 2023 and a 12.7% increase. Elsewhere, Leeds Rhinos, Catalans Dragons, and Castleford Tigers all increased their average figures.
Meanwhile, the biggest decrease other than London was at Huddersfield Giants, who posted an average of 4,531. That was a 716 drop on the 5,247 from 2023—a 13.6% decrease.

Despite a strong year on the field, Salford Red Devils also saw a big decrease, with a 4,648 average this year a 643 drop and 12.2% decrease on 2023's 5,291 average. St Helens, Hull FC, and Warrington Wolves all posted decreases.

Overall pretty good for SL attendances given the cost of living issues in UK and some of the bigger clubs not performing so well in 2024.

I met an older couple in a Dublin pub last week. When I asked where they were from they said Manchester. Then a moment or two later the bloke says, well a bit out of Manchester - you won’t know it - Warrington. So I said you must like Rugby League. Their faces lit up and we talked footy for a little while. They are rapt with the job Sam Burgess has done, love Adam Hills and his disability team work. But really really hopeful to win the GF, but really really nervous about it. Not counting on anything.
(Bit like me before 2010).

They know the NRL teams and Sydney, one of them has a relo in the Blue Mountains thats a St George Illawarra supporter. I commiserated.
