Pretty good crowds so far this round:

11,618 - Wire vs Saints
11,350 - Hull KR vs Hull FC
13,194 - Wigan vs Widnes
14,190 - Leeds vs Salford
50,352 - total so far

Catalans vs Huddersfield
Wakefield vs Castleford

Hopefully they can both get a decent crowd too.

Mixed feelings. Want catalans to win to guarantee top 8 but at the same time would be good to keep huddersfield in touch with top 3

Whqt happened to salford last night? They have been competitive against the big teams so far but went to peices against leeds. Surely the end of harris now

Another poor effort crowd wise in the top 8, it seems they are no better or lower than the regular season all around. I sensed a lot of hype from fans but it seems it hasnt translated to bums on seats. As far as i know the super 8 games are included in season tickets but doesnt seem to be reflected in crowds so far.

Round 2
Cas v wire 5212 (thursday)
Leeds v wigan 15026
Hudds v catalans 4251
Saints v hull fc 10203

On the plus side everything but first spot is in doubt heading into next week. With huddersfield and cas winning it puts the heat on wigan and saints to perform or potentially miss out pending castlefords form.

All of the middle 8 super league sides are at home against championship sides, crowds and scorelines will be interesting. Most likely wakefields biggeat crowd of the year v bradford to come if not close to it

Or not then. A grand total of 3985 at Wakefield, a pretty disgusting effort considering whats on the line.

Am i the only one worried by the crowds on show in what is supposed to be the games fresh start? Would be interesting to see how the tv ratings have fared as well.

The crowds are pretty poor but there's never any hype for SL at this time of year, the soccer season has just started and the Challenge Cup final is in two weeks. Things should pick up after that. It's not as though these are do-or-die matches at this stage even though they are obviously important.

(wasn't sure where to post this) Is anyone watching Leigh vs Wakefield right now?? Very entertaining, but gee I've never seen so many knock-ons, errors and brain-snaps in one match!!

Bring on the second half!! :D

Yep, pretty enjoyable stuff. Not the best standard of football, but very entertaining.

I think the refereeing overall was pretty good, but one thing that baffled me, was the sin-bin for the crusher tackle (I'm fine with that decision) but then the knee in the head in the first half was just a penalty and on report!??!?! Which he'll probably now get a 2-3 match ban for.
