It's been a proper winter for once in the UK and it has snowd on and off since mid december.Funny thing is it always snows on a friday night.

Just shorten the season to 24 rounds and start it in March. They do play too many games, it makes me wonder why the NRL players complain about burnout when they play less games than the English

Jamie Peacock wants a ten team league. I bet he wouldn't agree with his salary being cut back to reflect the reduction in games though. The problem Springs is that there isn't anywhere near as much money in the English game as there is in the Australian game at the top level so club chairmen like to try and play as may games as they can get away with to maximise revenue. The only way we'll see a reduction in the number of teams in the SLE is when they still play around 26/27 games a season but the TV money is shared amongst less clubs.

If there was a ten team League, would that not turn more supporters away from the game? Assuming that they would want to keep at least harlequins and Catalans, if not Crusaders, meaning heartland teams like Wakefield, Castleford and Widnes are left to the Co-op Championship?

I heard Jamie Peacock thought they play too many games and it is a reason why they are not as competitive in International football as they would like.

It was a stupid comment from Peacock. Why would you want to keep Harlequins and not Crusaders?
