Mate its a good effort and a good looking team on paper, but can i give you some words of wisdom from someone who picked a similar type team in my first year in fantasy football.

I made the mistake of trying to get 25 players that are going to play everyweek. Whn in actual fact you dont necessarily need to start off like this.

Your starting side and 4 reserves have to be starters in everymatch every week, dont have any bench players on your bench, getting players who play minutes everyweek are vital.

It looks to me you have got 25 first graders, now your probably saying yeah of course i have, but most of your choices look like obvious picks to me, here is an idea....

Take 5 or 6 of the obvious ones out, maybe one from each positiion and see how much money you have, now do some research and find 5 or 6 players at much lower value than the original 6 that have HUGE potential or that will atleast play in 1st grade even off the bench. Now once you have them use the funds you have saved to increase the quality of players in your starting 17. Trust me.

Now the 5 or 6 newbies, dont worry if they start to score points and you dont have them in your starting 17 becuase you already have improved your starting side with the extra funds you have, but the bonus is those 5 or 6 are now going up in $ value... sit back, pray for no injuries to your 17 starters and then when the time is right, trade in the 5 or 6 newbies (1 at a time) when they have peaked for a depth buy or to replace an injured starter using the starters value plus the increase in the newbie value.

SOme examples of last years newbies that shone.... buhrer, DCE (obvious), the hooker from the gold coast who slips my mind, and of course gareth whiddop, not all were newbies to the comp but all were underated at the start of the year.

Oh and final tip, dont ever waste a trade unless you are replacing a long term injury or you are improving your team.

thanx for the tips! its quite confusing hahaha

yeah i went on a bit didnt i... spose in a nutshell... dont make everyplayer a champ (you cant with the money you have anyway) but build a solid base with players you can rely on (gallen, parker, smith etc) then find some solid first graders, then some cheapies with potential... sezer is a perfect choice.

Fingerbang you have gone too hard too early... your starting 13 is way too good... i bet nearly all your cash is in there (over 3M?). You may have some luck with your rookies but i know there are some there that wont play first grade... peachey as an example.. its ok to have 1 or 2 risks but most of yours wont go up in value if they dont play 1st grade, also depending on what comp you play, the players value wont go up or down unless they play 3 games

keep in mind of course this is all my opinion but last year i spent ages ensuring i didnt do what i did in year 1... i finished the NRL DT in the top 5%. the more you put in the better you will go

Made 6 changes already.....after taking your advice on board.

Peachey out.....De Belin in
Tolman out......McKendry in
Bromwich out......Poore in
Wood out......Josh Reynolds in
Vidot out......Mannering in
Bronx Goodwin out......Kyle Stanley in

I think a lot more potential for guys like McKendry, Poore, Stanley and Reynolds $ values to increase.

My side so far (more then half of the players will most likely change by the time season kicks off):

1. Billy Slater
2. Chris Lawrence
3. Kyle Stanley
4. Greg Inglis
5. Michael Jennings
6. Jamie Soward
7. Todd Carney
8. Tim Grant
9. Cameron Smith
10. David Shillington
11. Paul Gallen (c)
12. Ashley Harrison
13. Shaun Fensom

Bench/Reserves
Jarryd Hayne
Tautai Moga
Konrad Hurrel
Geoff Daniela
Ben Roberts
Adam Reynolds
Blake Austin
Ethan Cook
Clint Newton
Josh Ailaomai
Cameron King
Justin Poore

Hoping that atleast a few of my reserves will increase in value early on so I can bring in some higher scorers when the head to head competition starts. I think between Roberts, Daniela, Reynolds, Austin and King there's a good chance that it could happen. But I'll have probably tinkered with the team a fair bit before then anyway.
