It's funny that everyone thinks that Adam Reynolds has no running game. When he was in Toyota cup, it was a stand out feature of his game. In 2011 he had a knee reco and was basically told not to run in 2012. I've noticed this year that he is gradually starting to take the line on more often again now. I'm guessing the shackles have been removed and he has a bit of confidence back as well now that he has a full season in his knee.

The kid really is a pretty complete footballer and I think that in coming months people will come to realise how good he actually is.
I think it's fair to say there were question marks over it. I think his running game has been noticeable developing this season, as is to be expected from a player now closer to 24 months since his knee reconstruction. Will only get better from there, you would think.

f**k me, the last time I was this pissed off over a football match was 1999. As much as the refs were merkins and doing their best to make sure there's a decider, the attitude displayed by the NSW team was f**king deplorable. That's where we lost. Looked like the players thought after game 1 all they had to do was run out and they'd win. The thought that comes to mind is "you can't fix stupid" (kudos to whoever posted that the other day).

Are you honestly trying to blame the refs ??

I really feel for you now that it has come to this. I hope things work out well for you - I really do.

I never wanted it to come to this. I am great at my job, but I do see where my bosses are coming from. I'm never going to get better if I keep doing what I am. And they're paying me the wage of someone that is 100% fit.

Gotta look out for #1 Dani!

Ricky Stuart is the current origin and NRL champion when it comes to blaming the ref for a loss

This crying is so much more delicious with how cocky Blues fans were the last few weeks. Makes the tears all the sweeter.

There's no way refs were at fault for our loss, Qlds pack was far better than ours, they ran over the op of us and didnt allow our forwards and room to move, not to mention our halves were pretty poor.

That being said, we were on the end of some poor refereeing in the opening 15 minutes or so that didnt help matters. The non-strip call on Hoffman for example leading up to the Maroons penalty goal, and a couple of other piggy back type penalties. At the end of the day a rep level defence should be able to overcome that, and we werent good enough to. Need to play alot better in Sydney.

Mal was his captain two decades ago.

Since then Stuart has gone on to forge a long career in blaming refs for losses. Remember when he took it to an international level

Controversies[edit]

At the 2008 Rugby League World Cup the Kangaroos dominated their opposition and Ricky Stuart took the team undefeated to the final against New Zealand. Despite being favourites, the Kangaroos lost 20?34. Following an outburst at officials after the game Ricky Stuart stood down his position as Australian coach and was handed a $20,000 fine.
