Who got MoM? Channel 9 literally cut coverage 7 seconds after the siren for the AFL footy show :?

Farah is usually pretty good. What we need is Hayne back, they shouldn't let him play club footy.

I love Maloney, but f**k he's been ordinary, that said he's still been better than Carney and Soward were for NSW.

People don't understand Pearce's value. His value is his hunger and determination, not his play making ability.

For any other position that would be great. But not at halfback.

The only changes NSW need to make is Hayne back to fullback and bring in someone else for Merritt on the wing.
Other than that I'd say definitely still a chance for origin 3.

Daley needs to start whinging about the refs every day and not stop until game day. Works for QLD

Also, need wingers along with Hayne to make metres from scoots, not get absolutely hammered like tonight.

Always been a fan of Mullen, he finds the grass with his kicks more than any other player in the comp. He tends to only be good for the first 10 matches of a season and then disappears.

I think his chance has gone, he was a serious contender in the year Soward was chosen, we should have picked Mullen, like two of our halves' kicks all series found grass.

That's what we need.

Even need a back 3 that work as hard as Slater, Tate and Boyd do to get to the ball on the full.

Farah wasn't bad. Not much else he could do.

Unfortunately, we don't really have anyone for him to compete for the spot with.

Damn i miss the days of Buderus starting then Wingy coming on after 1/2 hour.

Also, tempted to bump Dinkos Farah love thread. But i may wait until we flog the tigpies this weekend.

Sticky was saying that he may not even play him in the week before teams are named to make sure he is alright for game 3.

Yeah that's another possibility. They'll see how he is.

So much...

Why did Maloney not get the ball? Just completely go away from what won game one. NSW at its finest.

He was fairly heavily targeted but he certainly didn't seem to get as much ball as he wanted

Ok, he's not rubbish. He's just nothing special. I retract my 'rubbish' statement.

He wasn't dominant tonight, agreed. The NSW pack got mugged, just like Qld did in game 1 and Smith was as quiet as a mouse then. Just watch how hard he works in defence. He's a rock in the middle, rarely misses a tackle and had to take the kicking game in hand as well at times due to Pearce and his strange positioning.

A golden age for sure. They never last. Qld will know it in a year or two.

Do it. Drive Dinko away completely. He's our BM.

I thought Farah was reasonable, his service from dummy half was a shitload better than Reynolds, who was pretty crap, and his kicking game better than our halves. Our forwards were really slow to get up for the play the ball that stopped us getting forward.

The first 15 minutes we got steamrolled by a very strong Qld side, assisted by a couple of dubious calls. Didnt recover. Played like they hadnt played together with the ball though, that was concerning.

If we want a kicking game to control the match with you'd think about picking Adam Reynolds, but not sure he's up to it just yet in the other aspects of the game. Pearce was terrible tonight.

Merrins punch was also really, really dumb.

Why are we, as fans of NSW, accepting 'not terrible' of Maloney/Pearce? Maloney at least acquitted himself well in Game One before disappearing tonight.

Pearce has never had a good game of Origin.

Also that was right up there with the worst origin games for a while, NSW were just so bad and Qld for all their dominance fell apart with the ball the last 15 minutes as well.

Well firstly, not terrible in that circumstance is a lot better than it sounds. And secondly, there is no one better than Pearce. Maloney will be a very good Origin player IMO. We could try pairing him with Carney but that's really the only other option that will worry QLD I think

A good meltdown can be cathartic. Especially when directed at that worthless sack of dog excrement I Bleed Moron.

I've been complaining about Pearce's selection for a few years but I've just come to accept he'll be in the team, all the complaining in the world won't change that :(

Even considering the pathetic performances of some our players, QLD just wanted it so much more and it was obvious. Completely dominated in the forwards.

Adam Reynolds and Jarrod Mullen are both better players in better form than Pearce.
