2009 was a freakish achievement on the backs of Hayne, Moi Moi and Mateo. I miss the 2005 Eels...for mine that was the best footy we've played in the NRL....

2009 Eels was hands down the most entertaining footy i've ever watched not involving my own team carving up. I got right on that bandwagon and I've been lolParra-ing as long as i can remember.

Never lived with a partner. Had house mates at Uni, and then another for 6 months recently. The rest though I have lived on my own.

To be fair though, I haven't had a partner in that time either.

hmm. Moved out at 18 with my ex-gf, lived with her for 3 years, then lived on a mates couch for a few months, then hit rock bottom living on Mums couch... then dragged myself back to passable sharehouse accomodation.

Gone to rugby onion has he?

Top class Rugby too hard, gone to play Union for some easy cash.

.

It was awesome but it was very reliant on luck and things coming off. 2005 was the best all round footy I can remember them playing

2005 was a great year for League. Awesome Eels, Dragons, Wests and Cowboys sides. Flowing, attacking rugby league and also a great class of rookies/breakthrough years.

Parra was alright in 2001.

I miss the old style big jerseys with actual collars.

Yeah but 2001 was the result of Brian Smith taking advantage of the ruck rules at the time. We basically just dived at the feet of the defenders, Drew or Marsh got out of acting half and made a zillion metres very quickly. We also had relatively small and agile forwards to take advantage of the speed of the game. We set a high tempo, won the ruck every time and got a huge roll on very easily. For me 2005 was much better in terms of all round quality of football.

I really need to make another attempt to get out of the mmorpg scene again. Life destroying... but unfortunately it's like crack for me.

You are both correct 2001 is one of the best ever years in Rugby league.
