Yep i'm the same. Can never start a convo with a stranger.

would probably be hard for me to start one if i saw one of you guys at the footy.

I kinda did the same with my old grand final tapes.

Plugged the VCR into the DVD recorder. Didn't work out so well though. Quality was shit.

Didgi, because you werent around at the time, this is what a VCR looks like.

and this is what it played

If I knew I was talking to a forum member, it'd be easier as it's leverage for a convo starter and you know a bit already. That being said, I se your point.

Yeah, mine are actually coming up very good but I've got a program that rips right from the VCR to the computer and I'm boosting the audio by 75% and removing any static and such.

I swear. It's kinda scary thinking we used to sit there after watching a VCR and having to rewind it. No scene selection, no menu just one linear play method.

Rent a tape from blockbuster and having to fast forward through the previews.

Used to set the VCR to record Rage overnight the. The next day go through 8 hours of music videos to see what songs I liked

Then you had LP tapes which lasted twice as long. You'd do best to avoid damage to the tape and the whole video was wrecked if the film got damaged.

Rental tapes also had the note. "Please rewind after watching".

I'm old enough to remember the mighty battle between Betacord and VHS, hell I remember the change from Black and white tv to colour.

Getting slugged with extra fees for not rewinding when you took rental videos back

Pausing a scene only for it to wobble like my guts when I ty to run nowadays

I had a Beta and a VHS player...great days when you would watch a video and then it would crap out half way through and get ripped up in your video recorder.

Bloody kids have it so easy these days.

Although they have missed out on a lot.

Like using a pencil to rewind of fast forward a cassette

That was the same with video tapes that they didn't want recorded over.

Had a little tag that you broke off so it couldn't be used to record again.

Just put a little sticky tape over the hole and it was all good to go.
