Much much worse

There are good times but yeah if you think you can't do anything right at the moment wait until she hasn't slept well for weeks at a time and has to deal with a screaming shitting infant plus hormones. In fact wait till the last couple on months or the pregnancey when she can't get comfortable to sleep at night and is farting like a mofo and pissing like a tap.

Also don't watch the birth if you can help it. It's like watching your favourite pub get covered in blood and gore. They say it snaps back but it just isn't the same.

I'm terrible with blood, and she absolutely does not want me down there. In fact, she made it very clear that I was not to pass before her shoulder.

Sure, the snap back I get, but I'm also hoping it is not a C-section so she doesn't have the recovery time issue.

If we had our time again = c section all the way

You know I thought there would be a sheet separating me from the vag in the labor room but not just some stirrups and a whole lotta nothing. When my son was born my missus grabbed my head and pulled it to her chest (as hard as she could !) and my face was stuck looking directly at him when he emerged.

It took a bit to get over that one. Under any circumstances do not say as a joke a few months later when comparing birth experiences with your partner, " you think you had it bad, I got to see him come out and now I am expected to f**k that thing after seeing it covered in blood and gore ".

Oh look I wouldn't be without him now

Unless he supports NSW when he gets older.

(nah just joke, as long as he is healthy, doesn't hurt others and happy I couldn't give a shit what he does)

I can honestly say, I'm not to fond of having kids in my future. For a range of reasons, one of those being the fact I'd rather not pass on my genetic condition so they are stuck with the health issues I had to battle.

Rabbitohs sign Reddy on two-year deal

South Sydney Rabbitohs
– August 20, 2013Posted in: Joel Reddy, News, South Sydney Rabbitohs, Wests Tigers

The South Sydney Rabbitohs are pleased to announce the signing of experienced outside back Joel Reddy for the 2014 and 2015 seasons.
Reddy, 27, has played a total of 117 NRL games for both the Wests Tigers and Parramatta Eels since making his first grade debut in 2005. He has also represented City Origin on two occasions, firstly in 2010 and again this season.
Reddy is comfortable playing centre, wing or fullback, and Rabbitohs Head Coach Michael Maguire says he will add valuable experience to the Rabbitohs backline next year.
“Joel is a top quality player with over 100 games in the NRL and representative football experience as well, so we’re really looking forward to be adding him to our squad for the next two seasons,” Coach Maguire said.
“We have a number of young, up-and-coming players in our backline and his experience will be invaluable for them.
“From our discussions he’s showing the competitive drive and professionalism that we look for in our players, and we’re looking forward to welcoming him into our squad in the pre-season.”

 Oh dude, you have a way with words.

Why C-Section - just for the lack of blood and gore? I'm really distressed about the possible recovery time TBH; I feel like, as hard as a natural labour would be, the fact she could go home in as little as 24 hours (or 48) is such a massive bonus compared to the 6 weeks she'll be struggling.

6 weeks is a bit of a stretch but yeah, the recovery period is pretty significant compared to natural birth. My wife had to stay in hospital for 6 days afterwards and missed a fair bit of the first 24-26 hours of our kids lives because she couldnt go into the special care unit to see them (our twins were 3 weeks premie)

Someone tried to kill me when I was born, bomb threat at the hospital when my Mum was in labour. Had to be driven to Blacktown instead.

As a result, I now have a bung left eye from being yanked out with forceps, and I get "randomly" selected for bomb and drug tests at international airports because my place of birth in my passport is Blacktown...
