I was born unconscious but natural birth.. I ripped my mother up coming out. I think she had to get 44 stitches down there.

I tore my mum up too. Diabetics have big babies. I was only just over 7lbs and I still caused havoc down there.

I can honestly say, I'm not to fond of having kids in my future. For a range of reasons, one of those being the fact I'd rather not pass on my genetic condition so they are stuck with the health issues I had to battle.

My reasoning too. You are the first person that I've known yo share my views.

I can't safely carry kids now cause of my back injury anyways. I am so far from family life anyways. Definitely not where I saw myself at 26...

I was born 4 weeks early.

Hospital malpractice almost killed me 3 times before I was 10 weeks old.

To the dads out there; how did you deal with the whole 'Your wife is in agony giving birth to your child' bit.

Like, I know that's what is meant to happen; its the way its designed etc. But I find it hard to cope with the idea my wife, whom I desperately love, will have to endure this.

Speaking of this ultrasound done at 20 weeks were having a little man!!

Congratulations mate! Good to hear.

Likewise for me, when I say it people think I'm crazy.

I just could'nt bare to put them 1/2 of what I went through, I was one of the lucky ones to. While I got a serve case of my condition (Physically at lease. Mentally I was fine) it has the potential to cause so much more damage around 20-23 for a male as they reach their late-stages of development which has me worried as I already have 3/5 signs of it advancing.

You can't deny a woman's strength to push through this mate. Come the time- she'll be ready. You'll just have to be strong for her and let the doctors and mid-wives do their best and let them work (Which some father's in panic mode struggle with). If she has an epidural that helps numb the agonising pain by a lot and should help to lower her stress levels a bit in regards to the pain.
