We're playing better under Mary than we ever did under Price. Not a high bar to clear, to be sure, but we have improved. The try we scored yesterday was beautiful to watch and would have never been scored under Price. And our defence in the rest of the first half was good. No easy tries on the edge for once. Buggered if I know what happened at half time though. That second half was close to the worst 40 minutes I've seen from a Dragons team. A team that wasn't completely undone by injury the way Penrith are would have run up a cricket score.

I think Drew may need a bex and a lie down, to be honest. You dismiss Mary's lower grade success with Wests Illawarra and focus on one season in charge of the Cutters (and treat that as if we ran last without winning a game). Sounds like a bloke looking for evidence to back his pre-conceived viewpoint.

Do I want Mary kept on long term? No. Not unless there's no other option. But we need more than just a change of coach. Bennett would struggle to get anywhere with the current side.

Maybe it's because Mary is from the Steelers side of the JV that he's getting hate. If you are from the Kogarah side like Nathan Brown you get 6 years to prove how terrible a coach you are, if you're from a Steelers background you get 6 weeks.

Steve Price was from the St George side, played a handful of 1st Grade games when Choc was injured prior to the merger. So I think that comparison between St George and Illawarra factions is a bit untrue.

Nice sounding theory. There's definitely a bit of that in it (borders on conspiracy theory shit for some in JA), but Brown was hardly given a free pass. Most fans wanted him gone years before we signed Bennett. The crowd stuff is bang on. Amazes me how attached Saints fans are to Kogarah. Most opposition fans seem to think it's a shit ground. I can't comment as I've never been there. Ultimately I think we'll be moving permanently away from both WINs, which is a pity, but inevitable nonetheless. Absolutely no hope of growing crowd numbers in two grounds that seat barely 20k.

Serious debate going down on FB right now. Hot chips, do you dip them in sauce (ie. the correct method) or dribble sauce all over the top (the way that helps the terrorists win).

Depends. Obviously some circumstances sauce over the top is the only way to go eg at the footy. Otherwise sauce on the side is better

if you are a true sauce or ketchup fan, you want to be able to appreciate the quality of the tomatoes first, before the chip spoils the ability to savour that single origin fruit product..

as such, i recommend my behaviour of squirting the sauce into your mouth first, swishing it round twice before adding chips at a chip:sauce ratio of 2:1..
