I'll respond to the apologists when I get onto my laptop. Now, some humour.

The Saints Facebook post updated that Dan Hunt copped a Grade 1 charge for some rubbish shot on Sunday. My response:

BREAKING NEWS: St George Illawarra are seeking legal council to defend the charge against Dan Hunt's Grade 1 tackle on the weekend.

"It's an utter disgrace that Dan has been charged with any tackling misdemeanour," Peter Doust remarked with Crown Lager in hand. "Everyone knows Dan's defence is practically non-existent. Such a charge is not only laughable, but defamatory. We won't stand for such disgraceful acts by the NRL."

Hunt was devastated at the charge, breaking down in tears at training when he was informed.

"Every week I try my best to tackle as softly as I can," he whimpered. "And they do this? Its just so cruel. I mean, everyone knows I hit like a wet paper bag. Why are the NRL making an example out of me for? Do they want to remove all contact from the game, even my virtually non-existent impacts? It's so discouraging."

Mastercoach Paul McGregor was adamant that Dan's loss will adversely affect the rest of the squad.

"Dan's one of those guys who's contribution to the side is intangible, mostly," he said. "He peels the oranges, picks guys up in his Toyota Prius and drives them to training, records all the other games so we can review our opposition on Tuesday morning - he really is the starch in this team. Losing him will completely dismantle any chance we had of getting to the semi's. Its completely derailed our season."

Hunt's appeal is likely to be reviewed during the week. Stay tuned for more updates.

The other angle could've been gunning for a higher grading so he missed longer.

Liked the "Peter Doust with Crown Lager in hand" touch

Well my DreamTeam season is over.

I had 3 trades left coming into last round. Jake Friend, Wade Graham and Fensom all bit the bullet. Burgess didn't play. Took Burgess out this week an hour and a half before kick-off and lost in a close one. Now George Burgess and Josh Starling are suspended next week. FMD.

Lost a different league game by 51 points. Leaving Burgess out cost me 52 points. Urge to rage rising.
