I lied and decided to read back through it, and notice the last line of my post was eerily on topic.

BM talks up Melbourne. Rookie. In pretty much 5 days I will be in Singapore. Now there's a city

I play GW2 with a bunch of guys from Singapore... they always seem to be speaking English, but not quite English (Google tells me it's Singlish). They like the phrase Confirm Guarantee Plus Chop.

Just to back up my swagger.

It's okay I am back from my 2 day hiatus.

Fun fact: it has taken me 50 minutes to catch up on all the forums I would have browsed in that. I haven't caught up on Superthread because, well, it's normally just full of pointless shit.

Some special folk in the Boyd thread.

Did ya miss me.

I just Googled 'words per minute test' or some shit.

You've not missed a great deal. It's been either BM ranting about library, ranting about how amazing Melbourne is, or ranting about how awful his diet is going to be in Melbourne because he's too poor for real food.

Never mind, I found it. I got 96 with 1 wrong word. I use two fingers to type plus my thumb for space bar. A habit I developed somehow over the last decade and have failed to break. I touch type with those two fingers though (obviously).

BM, I will be honest bro. When catching up on Superthread, I just skipped over most of your posts. Normality has resumed.

1. The bit in bold is a completely biased characterization. Not awful, and the diet is not future tense, it is present tense. $70 a week allows for plenty of real tasty food if you're not eating out more than once a week.
2. Not any library. The State Library of Victoria. The best one in the country. With one of the most amazing rooms in Australia (and free wifi):

I got 83 wpm. Apey, Mis and BM. We're all way way way above average at the game of typing. 80 or 90 or 100 wpm is something you can put on a CV and have an advantage over most people.

On what objective basis is the State Library of Victoria the best in the country?

The architecture is second to none. An iconic heritage listed building. It is the oldest. It is the biggest. Free wifi all day. Ned Kellys original suit of armour.

The State Library of New South Wales is the oldest in Australia. It was founded nearly 30 years earlier than Melbourne...

The National Library has the largest physical collection of any research library in Oz, the State Library of NSW has the largest digital collection. The University of Sydney Library has the most extensive collection of any academic Library in the Southern Hemisphere.

It wins on Architecture, but meh. You'd stop giving two shits about it after a week.

SLV is the most user friendly. In what other library are you welcome to come in off the street, sit down and use their wifi for 8 hours a day.

Well if that's the case Glen Innes Library...easily the finest institution of learning in that great land called Australia...Home of free wifi and home of the place near a bushranger. no hyperbole intended.
