Hill would've been a bog last night, pissed down all week (rains been worse in Wollongong than Sydney for example).

Maybe there's some lingering resentment over there now being 4 games in Wollongong and 8 in Sydney, and four games being low drawing teams in Brisbane, melbourne and Penrith (few fans and not always a heap of interest in playing those sides) + Cronulla. Bit of a f**k you to the region.

If the dragons keep their form up the crowds will be reasonable I imagine, but that's a bit of an if.

I don't get why we are playing Cronulla down there. It will be another 10k game in Wollongong, whereas it would be a 15k game at Kogarah. Just stupid. Penrith would get a few extra in Sydney, but not much.

But who do you take to Wollongong then? Canterbury tended to be a sell out at Kogarah, Souths recently have been put as NRL marquee games, Easts is ANZAC Day, Manly don't travel, etc. It could have been worse, we could of sent games vs Gold Coast, Auckland and North Qld down there to say f**k you to Wollongong. At least Brisbane and Melbourne are top of the table sides, or "marquee" to use NRL speak.

It's not an easy one. I'm not saying either Win or Kogarah had a good set of games to draw from. It's more that as a consequence of using bigger grounds for the bigger games, not only is there suddenly less games in Wollongong, they're also lower drawing teams to start with. Not helped by it now being 8 games in Sydney, four in wollongong. Add in a couple of years of shitness and it's not a recipe for good crowds.

10.5k is way too low, they should be doing better than that regardless.

handy cars the old subarus...

now whilst we are on the topic of cars, here is one i hate.

specifically this exact car. i hate it so much it may as well have a little white rabbit sticker on the back as well..

i see it around my area a fair bit, so must be someone who lives nearby..

it's a crappy chrysler PT cruiser, with fake wood panels, 'spinner' wheels, stupid fake chrome highlights and even has a fake bonnet scoop.

i despise this car. if you know who owns it, please tell them to buy something better. like a datsun stanza or something.

Sweet baby jesus! That is a disgrace to all cars in the world.

Pat cruisers were the most underpowered piece of shit god ever put breath into. They needed a turbo but I doubt one would fit under that ridiculous triangular bonnet.

Should've gone with a BRZ Beave, tell her it was all about compromise and then just let her look at it. They're all show and not all that much go, but f**k me if it isn't worth it.

I guess you're needing a bit more space though.

Or he could have been a man and bought a Clubsport R8

Paying $80k or so for an overpowered engine is a waste. If you want a proper car with a V8 in it buy a C63 Merc. Power plus performance plus engineering brilliance = a car to die for.

So a 6.2 litre 300+ kW engine is a waste of power in a $70,000 HSV, but not in a $160,000 Merc? Riiiiiiight. f**king Eurosnob.

Seriously, if you want to blow $150k+, just buy a Nissan GT-R. Get something for your money besides a 3-pointed star badge.

except the whole $160k price tag & everything...

for me, best bang for buck in a v8 at the moment is the chrysler 300 SRT8 Core...

pretty decent car + massive motor..

this.

getting from 0-100 in under 3 seconds is frightfully quick, and nothing else for that price will come close to it..

If only Chrysler hadn't bashed that thing so hard with the ugly stick.

Honestly, the bets bang for buck when it's released will be the new Ford XR8. And I say that as a Holden fan through and through. Even with Holdens, the $10k price drop on the VF SS models means they are a better bang-for-buck proposition than their big brother HSVs too.
