Oi. We aren't all wankers.

I just meant most of the guys who play for the Rockets. Lots of big-headed Yanks and Poms.

Some are okay. SAS, who you'll meet, is a top bloke.

They've just got a reputation for starting trouble in expat bars.

Gym any times a week is better than I do tbh... I take the attitude that my body wasn't built for weights and my mind wasn't tuned for just running, so I don't bother with either. Team sport keeps me in good shape.

You're also a young guy in a new romance

If memory serves that's quite an workout right there

Ima make a real go of not being a fat f**k any more. My new job is at a really shit place traffic wise, so I'm going to join a gym at the centre and go after work until the traffic dies down.

Taking control of this shit.

smash a hole in the bottom of the pond & voila, a self draining pond..

i see this as similar to what we are doing with mining.. open up a big enough hole in the ground, suck up all the pollution and hey presto, we have fresh air again!

this, my friends, is a sign of a healthy environment:

Is that the Big Pit in Kalgoorlie? I really want to see it one of these days.

 when you love what you do, it's not work... the only workout there is converting from a sprinter to a long-distance man :sarcasm:

Ideally, that's what I'd do too.

I'm maybe built for long distance (I certainly took to it okay) but I do find it tedious. My brothers and I all share the frame for weights, but I don't have the patience for that either.

Team sports are the only exercise that makes sense to me, but the only ones I can find here are cricket (not particularly tiring) or rugby (full of wankers).

Yeah, when I'm fit-ish/put my mind to it I can go long-distance, was generally one of the best in high school outside of the kids that were triathletes etc. But real 'talent' in the running area has always been agility, hence generally preferring ball sports like touch, hockey and (recently) netball.

I've hit 70.5 kg's.

That's too big for me. Commuting to sydney for night uni/working other nights has killed my fitness pursuits to the point where it was just soccer on the weekends, combined with worse eating due to the commuter life.

I was 62 up until early 2012, gained after that but that was largely due to all the rockclimbing/a more protein rich diet. Have barely climbed the last few months and barely ran, and my running pace has gotten very bad. So going to try and kick both of them up a bit over this uni break and eat a little less shit, see if I can drop a few kg's again.

I've never really got into following Hewitt (took me a bit to work out how to say that without including high levels of sexual innuendo). I think it's his stupid face, his stupid hair and his stupid "come-on!"s/acting like he's just won the match when all he's done is hold serve while being down two sets. I just can't like him. I don't actively seek his misery like Murray though, despite finding him to be a twat I would rather him progress than lose just because he's an Aussie.

I'm on the Kyrgios bandwagon after his match the other night.

So I sent in my Youth Allowance application this week. In the form they'd only take my Griffith Uni details. I just know in 2 weeks Centrelink is going to tell me I'm not a full time student and then I'll have go into their office with my proof of study from OUA.

It's hard to explain because the degree is from Griffith but it's done through Open Universities Australia and some of the units in the degree are from other unis like Macquarie and Curtin. I do enough hours to be a full time student and OUA could tell them that but their geniused form wouldn't let me put in OUA.

Basically, Centrelink is geniused.

It's very possible that Queensland's sole representation in finals footy of any code this year is the Gold Coast Suns.

It's also very possible that 7 of the 8 finals teams in the NRL are NSW based. And that NSW gives us the AFL minor premiers.

Not to mention the Origin failure.

Queensland is just no good at sport these days.
