i will often start vigorous verbal debates with people, arguing against a point i very much agree with, purely for the challenge..

many of my friends say i do this simply because I'm a merkin...

but i disagree...
ugh

When my best mate lived down here, the debate between him and his flatmate was f**ked.

My mate would say something innocuous.

flatmate would take opposite view.

My mate would suddenly argue his point passionately

back and forth and back and forth, so f**king pointless

The security people are nice. 18 months ago I forgot I had bought a butterfly knife. They found it in my carry on as we went through security. I shit myself & thought I might be in a bit of strife. All I got was a wave of the finger & they took the knife. The relief was almost orgasmic. Time in a chinese lock up wouldn't be very pleasant.

"Cough, please" :sarcasm:

You don't look like Maggie Gyllenhaal do you?

Have you considered the South Pacific, Mis?

I didn't think they'd need English teachers  Got any contacts? ;)

Yes. Starring in a musical would be a great way to see the world. I would have thought Mis would be more suited to "The King and I" though.

Shave the beard and he'd be a smashing King of Siam.

I actually have a background in musical theatre. I was cast in the lead of The Producers just last year, in fact

Plenty for straight teaching, but they're through the church and would be a challenge as there's a few restrictions on.

Go here: http://volunteering.scopeglobal.com/discover-volunteering/sectors

Your experience in tourism would mean you're more than a teacher and can be utilised as such. This would add to your CV, give you a different slant and have funding provided for your living. There's a shitload of opp's when you finish, as you can become an in country manager etc.

I'm dead serious that you should check it out. You can go SE Asia, South Pacific and other places. http://volunteering.scopeglobal.com/discover-volunteering/countries

Mis, it sounds like you need to tell the locals how evil they are and that they need Jesus to save them.

eww, working for free.

No, not for free. You're given a monthly allowance. All mandatory expenses are paid though (insurance, travel there and back etc).

Mis, it sounds like you need to tell the locals how evil they are and that they need Jesus to save them.

Less that, more that he'd have to conform to their standards or find his position undermined.

Not even Jesus can save them from the beard :sarcasm:

They'd love the beard ;-)
