One of the clowns has already asked me why his paperwork wasn't processed on Friday as they're due CoB today. I told him that the team is currently understaffed enough as it is and didn't have the capacity to fit his work in with their schedule. I then added that I would've happily given him time in lieu if he did the work on Friday from home. Finally I told him, if his work was so serious, he could've sent the team an email stating the seriousness of it and asked someone if they could fit it in with their work... that's why he's given a company phone and laptop FFS. They can't read minds, they don't know what work he's doing or how far he's progressed on a project.

Putting clowns in their places... worst part of the job

Some cum guzzler got a hold of my credit card details and tried to charge $4000 to it. Bank spotted it straight away, but now I've got to hope my card arrives before I leave for China >_<

You got lucky my friend.

Usually these fraudsters start small and work their way up to cleaning out your account.

Caught one a few months ago cleaning out my credit card. It was just sheer luck that I checked my balance while they were in the middle of their little spending spree. Airfares with some Russian airline, phone credit and some other shit they'd bought on line came to a few hundred dollars before I notified the bank and they put a stop on it.

Funny thing is that the bank said the transactions had been flagged in their system and they were just about to ring me.

Of course you have to go without a card for a few days and they take a month or so to go through all their internal processes and put the money back in your account. Total pain in the arse.

the circus, by the sounds of things...

amazing how humour + time management are just two traits that don't work well together.. Humans can have one or the other, but not both..

I'm sure I have... they never learn from past experiences.

isn't it the role of an effective manager to ensure that subordinates are made aware of issues that are negatively impacting the productivity of the organisation and to develop plans and actions to negate these, so that there are not repeat occurrences?

That's actually the role of their supervisor!
