Sounds like you missed the secret menu. You didn't get your fries animal style?

It's not one of my top ten chains, that's for sure. Red Robin does better burgers. I don't mind Chipotle, but it's neither Tex Mex not authentic Mexican, so it's in a weird middle ground for me.

I'm aiming to eat at the kind of places you describe rather than the chains. I've eaten at most once just so I can say I have, but Five Guys & Taco Bell are the only ones I'd go out of my way to eat at.

And the latter only if I am hungover

In 'n Out's gimmick is that their menu is really small, but they have a bunch of 'secret' options you can ask for.

Animal style can be used on the fries or the burger, and it adds an onion-cheese sauce.

There's a bunch of other options, but animal style is the most famous.

White Castle is one I've yet to visit. Will definitely be seeking it out this time, and my vegetarian friend can suck a fat dick if he doesn't like it

I miss Henny Penny. Used to love my weekly chicken roll.

We've been dicking with produce since time immamorial. The fact we do it now under controlled conditions rather than hit & miss in a field seems to make people scared.

This tends to be my view of it too.

If you look at most cultivated crops or domesticated animals, they bare scant resemblance to their natural forms.

We're just doing it in a more scientific and less patient way now, but with considerably more oversight.

He's doing the driving, so he can eat whatever grass clippings and tumbleweeds we come across.

Thankfully, he drinks like a fish and is the kind of vegetarian who lives mostly on pizza and fries.

I have always found food in the US to be very bland, compared to our part of the world anyway.
