The amount of angst the sport of cricket creates amongst people who don't like it is one of the things I love most about it

I can't believe some dickhead cyclist is dominating news so much. His career was pointless with or without drugs
So mr armstrong, what do you do for a living?
I ride a bike
Dickhead.
Srs? Given some of the dribble that gets discussed around here, you'd think that the most popular sport in Australia may get a look in occasionallyOh, I don't dislike cricket at all. I play in a weekend comp here (all three teams), participate in inter-provincial tournaments when they come up, and watch it (one dayers only) when I'm home.
But it's still boring as bat-shit to discuss on a forum.

It's the only major sport that is followed broadly in every city and state.I've never understood where cricket gets off being labelled as the most popular sport in Australia. It certainly isn't evidenced by ratings or attendances or playing numbers.
This Wotbeh fellah is someone's idea of a pisstake right?
People aren't nailed to their couches. If it genuinely wasn't the most popular sport in Australia as the research you asked for suggests, then people wouldn't watch itA sport played at a time of year where other major sports are on hiatus and daytime television is worse than it usually is gets consistent viewership?
Stop the presses!
Summer in Australia what else are you going to put on during the day? You've got infomercials, daytime movies (are they still doing those on FTA), and talk shows.

Now we've upset him again...wotbeh I mean.
