Take that back Tim. Summer falls in the same category as TED's, marketed towards nubs who think they like beer but have no concept of what it should taste like

Teddies are my 'cheap' beer. They're what I drink if I want a carton of something and don't want to pay a small fortune for the privilege.

Here it's Tsingtao (tolerable), Tiger (poison), Budweiser (hahaha), or other Chinese local drops like Snow or Harbin. None particularly good.

Thankfully, plenty of bars here are German or Belgian influenced - so it's possible to get good beers like Erdinger or Franziskaner or Lindemans. They're just not easy to buy in bulk.

I love Tsingtao and Tiger....only problem is the preservatives can murder you

I can drink Tsingtao all day, but Tiger is f**king poison. The roughest hangovers I've ever had were from Tiger.

lol We used to call chicks who were useless at giving BJs Tooheys Reds. Goes down rough

Ha! Love it.

Back in my Newy days it was always a schooner of Tooheys Old down at the Grand Hotel. Nowadays at my Brisbane home it's Heineken...or nothing. Not ashamed to admit I'm a major Heineken fanboy.

Heineken is horrendous imo

German or Czech beers if Europe is the flavour of the day

The worst hangover I have ever had was from Chang (the proper Thai one, not the Aussie import). You know its trouble when it has a nickname for the hangover you get even in Thailand - Changover.

As for the Chinese beers, Tsingtao gave me terrible hangovers even for midstrength beer. Ended up drinking either Corona, Suntory, or some other beer I can't remember from around Yhangzhou (sp?)

I got a massive changover on my 30. The sight of it now makes me cry.
