Lol. Arsenal already ahead of United. It'll stay that way. Trust me.

In other news, word coming out this morning is channel 9 and Fox have won the rights. Announcement due in the next couple of hours.

I knew 9 was going to win, whatever amount we get I don't really care because whatever it is it'll be a huge increase on what we're getting now.

What I do care about is COVERAGE.

4 FTA live games. Nationwide. 8 pay tv live games.

We get that and I'll be happy.

Bad luck Cliffy. Looks like Arsenal won't even make Europe and Man United will finish above Arsenal now that the mock has been set.

Lets us all pray for 8 Live Foxtel Games per round.
Sounds like just 5.

And some bullshit about 13 Sunday night games a year. WTF is that. Just more fixtures to hurt crowds. Awesome.

I outlined the situation in the main forum.

The NRL, compared to the AFL, has got the following:
less FTA
less live FTA
less nationwide FTA
less games on pay tv

and all that for $350 million less. Great job ARLC. They've failed their biggest test. The point of bringing them in was for rugby league to get a fair go in tv rights negotiations instead of News negotiating against itself. News stooges wouldn't have done any worse FFS.

Oh and don't forget the AFL doesn't have to put up with crowd hurting Monday night and Sunday night fixtures.

There is not one area in this news that the ARLC and the NRL can think "gee, we did good there didn't we".

Sunday nights at 6pm won't be too bad though, obviously not ideal but hopefully won't be as bad as Mondays.

Disappointed with the deal overall, simply because 9 still have the rights.
