The money and the scheduling is nice but live FTA coverage is massive and we get ONE game. Terrible.

As far as I can see, the worst part of all this is that there is STILL nothing about digital rights...The AFL is an awful, primitive game, and even they have factored the digital age into their deal. You can watch AFL games on your damned phone, the NRL (seemingly, at this stage anyway) STILL will not give us that access...

IMO the real reason we should have looked for fixed scheduling is to:
a) balance the FTA games across the clubs
b) ensure clubs have consistent turn arounds instead of bouncing between saturday and monday nights

Gyngell basically took a huge dump on any chances of either of those things happening, and therefore I couldn't care less about the fixed scheduling.

Whole thing is a huge fail IMO. All that will happen now is we will know well in advance that Brisbane have 20 Friday night games a season.

No idea. I do know the AFL has an app you can download, and stream the games, live scores, stats, whatever you need. The NRL does not, and as far as I can see there's nothing about it happening (yet)

I know Optus tried to do the sneaky and streamed slightly delayed games but was forced to stop. I thought it was because of Telstra but it was the NRL that put a stop to it. Telstra has the net.

I'm not obsessed with the donkeys whatsoever. I detest that they get nearly every friday night game in QLD in the first time slot. Example next week one of newcastles bigger matches of the year old boys day on a Friday night, but i'll be watching the shit muncher boncos instead yay.
