Hughes first drop. That means he's not a certain starter, otherwise Wade would have been given a chance to impress.

Having Khawaja open instead of Hughes perhaps suggests they are considering Khawajas place in the team for Warner to come in. If that's the case that is almost as stupid as dropping Hughes. Both are way way way more deserving than Warner.

So happy I've finally found the radio for this. If anyone is interested:

Edit: At tea, Cowan is 40, Hughes is 32. They sure do like batting together. have put on over 200 in partnership all up in this game.

This is the most hypocrisy that has ever been seen in a single post in the history of the internet.

Warner got runs in 1 out of 4 attempts against B grade opposition after not getting it done at the top level on the India tour and he should be in the team?

Watson hasn't got real runs in 2 years. And he should be in the team?

Neither of them have done anything more than Hughes and even Cowan.

I actually rate Ed Cowan, I just think he's the worlds most nervous starter.

When he gets set he looks alright.

Watson & Rogers are locked in to play the 3rd test, that's why they stayed in London. Khawaja is locked in, got some runs in the 2nd test and they won't drop him after one game. Smith is locked in, that's why they didn't send him out to bat in the 2nd innings in Sussex. Warner is locked in, they sent him away to get runs and he did, and would have played the first 2 tests if not for the suspension.

So that leaves um....oh yeah. Hughes. Bye bye Phil.

What's Warner test average champ?

If Hughes had the same average you'd be using that as you no1 argument in every friggin post. Watson at least can bowl and grab a couple key wickets, and get us a decent start with the bat

you cannot see that you are arguing that a darm brown piece of poo is better than a light brown piece of poo, a green piece of poo and a runny piece of poo.

Warner, Watson, Cowan and Hughes are all abysmally shit test cricketers.

If any of them were any good, they'd have scored 10 test centuries between the 4 of them at the very least.

Instead they have combined 39 fifties and 9 centuries out of 194 innings.

That is utterly woeful, no matter how much you want to look at it, skew it, bullshit and wank over FC performances.

All 4 are failures at test level. Especially considering they've played a vast majority of their innings in the top 4.
