reminds me so much of high school. SOAD, Slippers, Bizkit, Manson, Coal Chamber, Chimaira, Machine Head, Meshuggah, The Used, Heavy Devy, Hatebreed...

it's gonna be great (with the exception of Limp Bizkit, who are washed up, and their music is no longer relevant). i think i'll go out of my way and attend this one.

And BOOM I'm proven wrong... Lineup is awesome, I hate these pricks with a passion, always organise a terrible event with an awesome lineup sucking me back in every year.

That line-up is ridiculous. I really hope they add an extra stage or something though because the Melbourne event is already being over-sold, having SOAD, Slipknot and Manson will just make it worse. I just listed all of the bands I'd like to check out and the number is at about 20 so I might have to trim that somehow.

An awesome lineup, unfortunately I cant go as I am OS, always had a feeling slipknot would be here next year, with stonesour being here this year. Luckily most of the bands playing that I would see I have seen before, slipknot machine head and chimaira. But would have loved to see SOAD, Limp Bizkit and trivium.

For quality of bands IMO this year's soundwave had a better lineup than next years. But still awesome. Soundwave is the only festival that is worth going to as far as metal goes in Australia. Still has nothing on the likes of Wacken, Download and Sonisphere but maybe one day we will see something as big as those festivals.

The headliners are awful but there is a fair bit of quality after that.
