You're not going to go and see bands you'd like to see because other people want to see different bands to you? Lol what

If everyone's at the kiddie trash. You will have no trouble moving around to see what you want to see.

Agreed. Although apparently Dev is looking to play some shows outside of SW while down here. Hopefully Brisbane gets included in that. Nornally QLD misses out on the sidewaves.

I always expected he would. He has a love affair with Australia.

Slipknot have sucked forever, but they suck even more now since Corey lost his voice for quite a while in around 06-07. The guy can't hold a note.

I like slipknot always been a guilty pleasure of mine as is limp bizkit so will feed my 15 year old self at sw12 by watching those 2

Don't know that you should feel guilty about it - more a case of wondering why you're wasting your time listening to them when there are bands that are actually decent out there waiting for you.

not as keen as in other years, especially last years amazing lineup but still keen to see A Day to Remember, Thursday, Unwritten Law, Cro-Mags, Street Dogs, Saves The Day, Enter Shikari, Letlive & Raised Fist.

Hopefully a band like Mute or Ignite gets added to the lineup, not even close to enough Punk on the bill.

At this years SW I was watching The Sword, small crowd early in the day, and the 2 security guards were climbing on the barrier pointing out people and yelling to stop moshing. I was thinking wtf try doing that when Slayer play (it was in Brisbane where they did play)

Coreys vocals get fried throughout a gig when he plays with Slipknot and it shows. He really struggles with the heavier stuff these days. Seen them support a few bands when I was living in North America, gets flakey as hell mid-set. Might have been the amount of concerts they also do over there I don't know.

His vocals have pretty much recovered. If you youtube any slipknot shows starting from Sonisphere 2011 his vocals are back to his early 2000's. How long will it last? Who knows. Even with shot vocals he still had a fantastic voice, and IMO has one of the best range of vocals of any singer getting around today.

Hate slipknot or stone sour all you want, but there is no denying that the guy's got talent.

I actually don't mind his vocals, but his lyrics are turd. Iowa - lol.

And the music, well, it's all a bit dull really. But each to their own.

I don't "hate" on slipknot or stone sour, Corey had a fantastic voice, he was also part of a group that led the way for many melodic metal singers (for better or worse).

I saw them last year and he was still struggling big time. In any case I'm not a fan of their music, self-titled was pretty decent when it came out but everything since has been garbage. I also didn't hate Stone Sour's first album at the time of release. I just found them to be very underwhelming both times I saw them over the last 3 years, Corey was a huge part of that. Fact of the matter is, there are many bands that do it better than Slipknot now.

I don't know, there are a shitload of melodic death vocalists that I would rate above him.

Same. We had a cool history teacher and 1 week the girls had the radio the next the guys. When it was our turn it was Manson, Limp Bizkit etc.

The only 2 not on the bill we used to pump is Offspring and Korn. So that's why I will be watching them but I can understand people watching others
