The Reds have been pretty poor in the past couple of years, but you've got to remember that they still won the same amount of games this year as the Tahs, as well as beating them (again).

The Reds lost a number of highly experienced players in the off season, as well as having a horrific run of injuries to 5/8s.

If you look at the record of each team over the past 15 - 20 years, you'll see that the Reds have been far more successful than the Waratahs.
