Fortunately for at least a small part of each day the OP is seated at a computer rather than mixing with others and potentially breeding.

This... makes no sense. Coon, the "n-word", and a host of others- while racially charged- do not have a history of use in Australia. And that's without considering the specific arrangement of words.

Given the amount of damage control that has already gone on in here, I begin to think that Johns must have said something a great deal more offensive than has been reported.

Johns is a merkin, end of story.

Should have been sacked on the spot by Bellamy/NSWRL, not given the chance to volunteer to "leave camp".

He should also be sacked by Channel 9, but they are too spineless. There is NO room for racism in rugby league, it contravenes the NRL's own policies and One Community Program.

How rugby league administrators can look themselves in the mirror these days astounds me. Good on Timana for trying to take a stand... pity that the culture of shielding and protecting Joey from responsibility and reality is still alive today.

I never thought I'd say this... but c'mon Queenslanders!

If Johns has been saying this for years, that would mean that possibly Tahu has never approached him about it.

If that is the case then Tahu's current action is weak, he has now has publicly humiliated Johns, and now endangers his wife/family/kids if any etc etc.

He should have addressed this man on man, in house, probably years ago. And if he continued to do so....then take further action.

And...I wonder what actions all those other players/staff took....whom heard him say it historically...like Beau Scott. Cause those people, by their inaction's, are endorsing Johns rant....and maybe should be made to share the blame....

Yeah ... let's just keep sweeping Johns' racial diatribe under the rug.

No even better ... let's congratulate Joey on his choices of words!!!

Reward him with the senior coaching role next year so that this type of talk becomes the ingrained culture of the NSW team.

And, what the heck ... let's start a "Joey's Banter" segment on the Footy Show, where Johns lifts the lid on how he revs up NSW players before a match. I'm sure the sponsors will come flocking to the Footy Show then.

They we can have a Footy Show direct from Cherbourg ... with Joey interviewing a few locals using his own unique banter to chat.

Why even write that joey has come out and apologized/ said he made a very poor choice of words, some of you guys just cannot except an apology maybe the major problem is there.

The side looks better with Monaghan in it anyway. Johns did NSW a favour, even though he's an absolute f*ckwit for saying it. Monaghan should probably be marking Inglis though. G.I. respects him highly and would be nervous about the challenge. I doubt he fears Beau Scott. I can understand why they picked Monas on the wing though considering he's been playing there lately and is the 2nd best leaper in the game.

I can certainly accept his apology ... the problem I'm trying to address here is people ridiculing Tahu for making a stand.

If there was no public stand, you can be assured they would have been no apology.

I agree. His apology seems pretty sincere to me. While serious, what he did isn't a hanging offence. He's paid a price (even if the way it unfolded was less than optimal) and has said all the right stuff since. I hope it's sincere ... if so, I've got no hassle with him.

seems there were more than one comment according to tahu, who has spoken. like the exctasy tablet found on johns, would he have apologised if not caught? thats the problem, he only owns up AFTER he gets caught.

 because you and everyone else in the world ALWAYS apolgise for stuff BEFORE you get caught

his behaviour is unacceptable apology or not and you would have thought he'd have some sense....maybe pills cause brain damage

Johns is an untouchable ....in the game.... how did u think he evaded drug detection all his playing days ,....

Speaking up against people in power is very hard...

why do you think preist get away with molesting cause everyone keep quite ....no one wants to raise it

Tahu should stop whining, whinging, wailing and balling his eyes out and man up to Joey not the media.
The whinging and wailing aside, I agree. The best form of communication is of the face to face kind.

In a general sense, whenever anyone has a problem with someone, be it a colleague, workmate, teammate, family member, whatever....the best way to deal with this situation is to address it face-to-face, clear the air. Only after this line has been tried (and subsequently failed) does one contemplate walking away or communicating through an intermediary (the media in this case).

Andrew Johns's behavior is inexcusable, but unless someone gets in his face and sets him straight, then crap like this is going to happen.

That is one of the worst posts I've ever heard. Seriously, so many Australians are out of touch with reality, it's shocking.

Oh dear, one opinion and suddenly "so many Australians are out of touch"? F**k me

For the record I think his post is a load of sh*t, but I don't see how it means Australia is out of touch...

Just the amount of people that have told Tahu to 'toughen up' etc, they really don't understand the ramifications of comments from people like Johns.... but I don't want to get into this here, already got another thread with an argument going on haha
