Tahu?

Dean Richie on Sky Sports Radio this morning said that if Parra don't re-sign Tahu, then we're going to go after him. Apparently Tahu's family misses Newcastle or something like that.

Surely that'd never happen? Especially after all of the racial controversy. Plus we have enough quality centres in the Mad Dog, Sau and Likiliki. Although it would be hilarious if we signed him and played him on the wing

Tahu is living in the past and needs to pull his head in big time if he wants a further his NRL career.

Oh and yes, f**k Tahu coming to the Knights. No way would I support that.

Regardless of talent he used to have, the guy's just a bad walking headline these days and we don't need that sh*t. Plus his ties to King Idiot Mundine are something I don't want at the Knights.

I just hope Richie is pulling this out of his ass, because the suggestion that the club would go after a player that has repeatedly dragged the club through the mud is terrible.

I don't really know whether he has "repeatedly dragged the club (I assume he is talking about the Knights) through the mud", and I don't really care about his hypocrisy around his latest drama. His form was patchy in 2010. We need consistency in our older players and someone who is going to help the likes of Likiliki in to first grade. Not for me.

The way he carried on at the Koori Knockout was garbage, he is a professional sportsperson (now maori) who is supposed to be held in high regard in the aboriginal community so leave him in Woy Woy

A fantastic pick up if we can get him for a good price.

He has a bit of baggage, but I wouldn't care if he was Ivan Milat as long as he can play and isn't going to do a lot of damage to others in our squad - and all his issues only hurt him - it's not like he is a druggie who will lead kids astray - he is just bitter after a pretty ordinary upbringing.

We aren't in danger of being trampled by a stampede of rep standard players wanting a run, so we can't afford to turn one down because he is a bit of a wanker.

Scot Dureau is the nicest guy you could meet - not a great player.
Tahu is not a guy you would want at your birthday party - the guy can play.

That's all that really matters.

Was it not reported that he wanted to come here when he left Union but we could not afford him? If thats the case how could we afford him now.

Would Wayne Bennett or Craig Bellamy pick him up if they could afford him?

NO, he is to disruptive for their liking.

I think the issue was that he approached Smith about coming back and Smith said that he wouldn't be here, so Tahu went to Parra.

I'm with Roopy on this, I think Tahu is troubled and has been since he left Parra the first time, I don't know whether its bad advice or what but he seems to be angry at everyone currently.

I reckon that personally he'd be more settled back in Newcastle surrounded by whatever family he has.

I also think that he's a quality player and there aren't too many of them lining up to join us.
