To me of seems he did do it especially if he apologises and is worried abt the critiscm of being called a hypocrite and doesn't know what to do next. Damned it he does, damned if he doesn't

I hope he didn't say it.

If he did say it I reckon he wouldn't have signed a contract with us for next year. Because he would have to insist on his sacking.

Maybe he could just get out of his own way for the season. Ignore himself. Give himself dirty looks in the mirror. Stuff like that. He`d soon teach himself a lesson.

Wright was a player with a lot of potential to be a very good centre, especially in attack.
What I noticed is that when he played in first-grade, usually his first game would be terrible and then his other games proceeding would be great.
Still, he had his deficiencies which he will have to work on, ala his defence and so on.
I wish we kept him too.

I reckon he might see a bit of first grade next year, Boxy. Unfortunately, not for Parra.

Yeah, apparently the reason he signed with the Dogs' was because they offered him a stable first-grade position :? Could very well come back to bite us.

It was reported on channel 9 tonight that Tahu has asked if he can return to training in February.

What a joke.

Time for him to be let go.

Especially after just signing! Ossie has to put his friendship aside and act in the best interests of the club.

If Tahu has indeed asked for until February off then he can't expect to be playing first-grade at the start of next year. I believe Ossie was acting in the club's best interests by re-signing Tahu as he is still the best centre at our club, but if Tahu doesn't want to put in next season or isn't ready, then unfortunately he needs to be given a break and we have to explore other options in the mean-time.

We need to support Tahu through this either way, whether he plays for us or not.

Assuming he is signed, Tahu needs to be released asap. It is not a good message to other players busting their arse if he is allowed extended leave. Can you really see Tahu playing for Wenty for say 8 weeks or so until he get match fit ? His ego will not allow it. Besides we do not need the extra publicity going into a challenging season with a new coach.

He will never wear the sacred Eels' jersey again.

I certainly wouldn't be busting my gut at pre season training whilst my teammate is sunning himself in Tahiti.

Fix this fiasco Kearney!

If he doesn't want to train until February we have to let him go completely. This is a professional sporting team and we can't give players unconditional leave. If he doesn't want to train with the club for a 2 month period then he is best off just resigning and allow us to pursue other options instead. I sympathise if he has issues but the club still has to move forward with or without him.
