Tahu

He didn't lose his shit, the knee-brush was calculated and restrained. He was then attacked by Nightingale who ran in and gave him an almighty push at 100 mph.

Anyone would have thrown one if being confronted like that. It was an over reaction from Nightingale to draw attention to Tahu. Nightingale initiated a fight out of nothing.

Seeing it any over way is surely based on bias.

What gets me is if the roles were reversed and it was Nightingale who stroked a bloke with his knee, and Tahu who ran 15 yards to push Nightingale, everyone here would still be slamming Tahu and saying he's unstable.

He can't win.

Couldn't care less who the player is, it is a stupid thing to do when you are attacking an opponents line attempting to win a football game. He could of been penalised for holding onto the markers foot, let alone the intentional tap with the knee. Nightingale had every right to stick up for his teammate!

It is funny how these players that left for greener pastures in Ra Ra, never really make a good return to League.

Lets see if his 2wk stint on the side lines, puts him back over 100kg.

I think Lote has done alright, considering injury.

And what really f**king makes me laugh is just the completely absence of common sense, everyone is willing to suspend all logic because they don't like a bloke.

f**k, tell me what's worse, Tahu PRODDING a player with his leg, or Fa'asao SLAPPING a man in the face as they lie on their back?

It's a complete double standard and if you swapped players it wouldn't make a bit of difference, people would still be whinging about Tahu because it's a problem with the man, not the action.

Grow up guys

It looks bad, and it definitely wasn't necessary. Reeks of arrogance and stupidity. 2 weeks is enough though.

The problem is, we have a 5 page thread talking about this incident, when we should be talking about the move he put on Hornby to put McManus over.

Of course it's stupid and of course Nightingale has a right to confront Tahu. What I'm saying is if it wasn't Tahu who prodded a player with his knees this would be a completely non event, and that if it was Tahu taking a position like that of Nightingale that people in here would say of Tahu that he's out of order and is a liability.

This is more about Tahu than the actual action of prodding a player with his defender, I see loads of players who prod people with their knees just as Tahu did.

Bryce Gibbs did it to Jared Waerea-Hargreaes in the 2010 finals, didn't hear anyone complaining about it then. Sure if it was Tahu and not Gibbs then we would hear about it

Was that the night Corey "White Boy" Payne smacked his head all around Kogarah?

No, you must be mistaken. The fight lasted all of 3 punches and 3 seconds, with not a punch landing. Nobody got their head smacked around anywhere, but Tahu had a go with a non-white, which is in direct contrast to the claims of the racist OP.

Now f**k off

merkins should keep their hands out of other blokes faces to start with.
He had the shits for being tackled hard from behind then copped the facial.
He deserves a week max.
Nightingale should cop a week as well ... Ask storm and manly players what happens when you run in to get in a fight.

That was pretty good.

Kicking another person when they are on the ground is wrong, love tap or not. It's un-Australian.

Meh, didn't think there was that much in it. Definitely didn't deserve a send off.

Actually thought this thread was going to be about his game which was actually pretty good before he got injured. Should have known better.

I didn't bring race up, OP did and so did most people replying on page 1.

"He seriously is the epitomy of a contradiction ever since that Andrew Johns state of origin thing. Since that moment he has clearly just wanted to attack caucasians. But given that he's got dark skin it's impossible for him to be considered racist I guess"

That's racist. Only a racist dickhead would take the incidents of yesterday and spin it as a racial issue, going so far as to make some sort of garbage point about non-whites being allowed to be racist.

f**king racist Aussies

 f**k you love thugs don't you champ. Shove your race card up your arse and stop dribbling

I don't care how hard Tahu kneed the bloke, the intention was there and we need to rub that s**t out of the game.

Unfortunately though, a soft precedence was set with the Hayne headbutt incident.

I will have to see the footage again but did his knee come into contact with anything? If it was just his shin I don't see how he can be busted for kneeing. In fact he definitely can't. You also can't say he had intent to knee Prior the way Bird kneed Marteene. I'd say he had every entention of shoving Prior with his shin in exactly the way that he did. If he wanted to knee or kick him in the head he would have.

Or Matt Gidley could have done it & Timanu taken the credit for it

You definitely should have. You should never expect a Raiders fan to start up a thread that is positive about a Knights player. Or Newcastle in general for that matter. After all we are the blight of the league.
