Facials will never be outlawed, there part and parcel with any rugby code. Tahu is a knob and should rightly be banned for it, terrible thing to do. I wouldn't be surprised if Bennett dropped him if he isn't suspended.

Buncha soft c**ks in here, he nudged the guy with his shin. Nothing in it. Should've been a penalty to Newcastle for Nightingale starting the fight.

Storm should have kept their premierships too. If anything, the NRL should have been penalised for having a salary cap.

In all seriousness though, do you think if a polynesian player gave him a bit of roughing up in the tackle he would have reacted that way?

It's just like the Hayne headbutt incident.

I don't care with how much force Tahu hit the guy with, the intention was there and that s**t needs to be stamped out of the game.

6 weeks.
Exactly. He deliberately went out of his way to strike another player.

There is no "oh its an accident" style excuse. Doesn't matter if he restrained himself slightly from a full blow right before doing it.

It was extremely poor sportsmanship. Good to see Bennetts mentoring has improved this aspect of his game as so many predicted when he signed with Newcastle.

6 weeks sounds fair.

Yep agree with you and Pete.

You can't argue that he didn't mean it because he was standing over prior and actually moved his knee forward, watch the video again if you can't see it.

If he isn't suspended then the NRL are setting a very poor precedence for future cases and similar to the English FA are leaving themselves open for ridicule now and in the future.

Yeah because he's going to be completely terrorised and dominated by the lethal centre pairing of Colin Best and Ben Pomeroy. Get your hand off it

Even Best and Pomeroy would be able to get into some space with Tahu defending out wide, he is a complete liability. Always rushes up out of the line to try and put a big hit on. He only succeeds 1 in every 5 times he does it, but that doesn't stop Johns and co. telling us all about what a "great athlete" he is meanwhile ignoring the fact that he's one of the biggest defensive liabilities in the game.

I know there've always been there, but my only issue is with fingers and eyes. If its a simple face massage no dramas, harden up and get on with the game. They just need to be careful with fingers poking out eyes...

Worst thing for the Knights was they had numbers on the left, but Tahu instead of remaining cool blew a possible try.

6wks is a bit much. 2wks max if anything. I'm just glad footy is back.

Realistically, he'll only receive 2 weeks, if anytime at all. But that's a joke, knees & headbutts have no place in the game and deserve a lengthy stint on the sidelines.

Throw in biting, spitting, grappling (goodbye half the comp.), ankle locks, cobras & people's elbows and we'll be on our way to a better game.

Should get 4 weeks, kneeing is not on.

Was so disappointing to watch him do it...I'd love him to be an enforcer, but it was a thug-move.

It is funny how these players that left for greener pastures in Ra Ra, never really make a good return to League.

Lets see if his 2wk stint on the side lines, puts him back over 100kg.

It was just as bad as Greg Bird's knee to the head a couple of years back .. except this time the opponent was lying on the ground ..

Referee was too soft, should have been sent.

Come on, the difference in force, and thus intent, between Tahu and Bird's knees was huge and that will rightly make a difference in the sentencing.

I think he still left his brain back over at Yawnion, he has acted like a nutter ever since he returned. Thank god we got rid of the whinging prick.

I'm confused now, are we talking about the footy or the WWE?
