what i find surpriing and its probably already been awnsered but i seem to recall tahu saying the knights club in general was a bunch of rascists and the reason the whole fracas started at parra was he judst lost it against newcastle and flattened out one of their players. yet here we are and hes playing for them

Come on, the difference in force, and thus intent, between Tahu and Bird's knees was huge and that will rightly make a difference in the sentencing.

Serious? Birds knee on Shane Marteene was almost identical to Thugu's knee to Prior or whoever it was.
Marteene was not knocked out, but kneeing or kicking is a cat act.

from memory, tahu hit a melbourne forward in maybe one of his last games for the panthers, blindside and high, stunned him badly. same shot sees many other players have a rest

as it was tahu, johns and co were congratulating him on it, right in the midst of the talk about the concern around head clashes and concussion.

the game is scared of him, and he will be allowed to get away with murder until he is gone, solely because he loves the race card

Not sure if it's is race thing or not, but I think Timana needs to lay-off the angry pills. Seems to be full of hate which has (as evidenced by last night's antics) - and will continue to cost the knights if not addressed.

Bennett will only tolerate so much so I'd say he gets his s#&t together or he'll be out on his ass.

I'll admit I haven't watched it in a couple of years but from memory Bird kneed Marteene square in the face/temple with some pretty strong force.

Tahu's was a lovetap in comparison.

Don't try and turn this into me defending Tahu, I've already said he deserves a month off...but I just don't think the force and intent was comparable.

Are you serious?
Have you seen the Bird knee into Marteene's head?
The two are like night and day.

I am serious. I have seen it many times. Bird had a bit more force, but neither would not have bruised a 94 yr old grandma.
But they both had intent and Tahu needs a long time on the sideline to think about what he wants to do in life.

I wish the game was scared of him for the right reasons (i.e. punishing defence that is above board like this hit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=moKsmnq2eQ8) but I can't defend what he did last night because it was merely inexcusable.

thats the one i was talking about. raised elbow, shoulder into the head. the point is, blokes have sat down for less, yet he is applauded

commentators immediately started to masturbate over it to ensure they were seen to be pro tahu, so they werent called racist for suggesting the contact was high

the point is, blokes have sat down for less, yet he is applauded. it send the wrong message to young fans, and definately to players

It was a low act but 6 weeks is a little excessive. 1-2 weeks if any.

The biggest worry for Newcastle is that it will send a message to every team in the NRL to rough Tahu up and you are likely to see the penalties flow.

Still a class player but unless he gets it together he is on borrowed time.

It is something we don't need in our game. Hopefully the NRL take a hard stance regarding this incident.

I think anyone who thinks what he did is worth even 1 week is taking the piss. There was so little in what he did that it isn't even worth talking about.

Literally he touched a man with his knee, that's it. We wouldn't be having this discussion if it wasn't Tahu and I don't even like the merkin, but f**k.

League fans remind me more and more like Union and soccer fans each year. Except even in soccer and union nobody would give a shit about this non-incident.

Obvious Tahu bashing from people with agendas is obvious. OP is racist too

Meh. There wasn't much in it. But it should be a wake-up call for Bennett that he is a bit of a time bomb. One game back for the Knights and he is already losing his shit and probably costing the team the game. The Knights' discipline was very good throughout - they probably even let the Dragons off the hook around the PTB if anything - but Tahu ruined it at a crucial time. I don't know if he will get suspended or not because it's pretty hard to argue that he either kicked or kneed Prior, but it might be better for the Knights if he does.

He didn't lose his shit, the knee-brush was calculated and restrained. He was then attacked by Nightingale who ran in and gave him an almighty push at 100 mph.

Anyone would have thrown one if being confronted like that. It was an over reaction from Nightingale to draw attention to Tahu. Nightingale initiated a fight out of nothing.

Seeing it any over way is surely based on bias.

What gets me is if the roles were reversed and it was Nightingale who stroked a bloke with his knee, and Tahu who ran 15 yards to push Nightingale, everyone here would still be slamming Tahu and saying he's unstable.

He can't win.

:lol::lol:

Tahu is a piece of shit and that comment has nought to do with his skin tone.

Stop bringing the racist card up you dope. Its for little bitches with a victim mentality.

I agree with your call on it being a non incident though, to a degree. 1 week max. It was a love tap.

You serious? You couldnt tell if it was a knee or a kick to the head? It was a clear knee to the head.
Even IF it was a kick it is just as bad. Tahu had priors from when he was an Eel and lost his marbles against the knights 2 yrs ago.

It wasn't a kick, to the head or otherwise, you merkin.

I didn't bring race up, OP did and so did most people replying on page 1.

"He seriously is the epitomy of a contradiction ever since that Andrew Johns state of origin thing. Since that moment he has clearly just wanted to attack caucasians. But given that he's got dark skin it's impossible for him to be considered racist I guess"

That's racist. Only a racist dickhead would take the incidents of yesterday and spin it as a racial issue, going so far as to make some sort of garbage point about non-whites being allowed to be racist.

f**king racist Aussies
