I'll just say...if the Tri Nations is harder to win (you still with me dumbf**k?) than why can the All Chokers win that so many times but not the world cup??

Just answer me that, i dont expect your lame insults that dont even make sense.

THEY HAVE WON A WORLD CUP YOU IDIOT....

Actually it's quite easy. If this forum would allow me, I'd even draw you pictures so that your slow brain could keep up.

To win the Tri Nations, you have to be consistently good over 6 matches against the best teams in the world. To win the World Cup, you have to win one or at the most 2 matches against the best teams in the world. Now it's true, the Tri Nations is more forgiving if you have a bad match, because it's not a knockout - but that still doesn't mean it's easier to win. Far from it.

Let's look at who South Africa had to beat to win the World Cup last year shall we?

Samoa, Tonga, United States, Fiji, Argentina, England. Hardly the cream of the crop as far as world rugby is concerned, England excluded. To win the Tri Nations, they would have to, at a minimum, beat Australia and New Zealand twice each. Which job do you think is harder?

Yeah i think it would be best if you drew pictures instead of posting.

So New Zealand cant win 2 matches agaisnt the best teams in the world? Thanks for proving my point.

I know its hard to come to terms with All Choker fans, i mean it was hard to expect that the Eels choked so many times but maybe one day your brain will grow bigger than a coconut and you will finally admit it.

I realise New Zealand have won ONE world cup, pretty sh*t.

1 from 6 So by your "reasoning" any NRL team that doesnt win a premiership within 5 years is crap... the Roosters made the GF 4 times and only one one... they must be REALLY crap...

You are truely an idiot of the highest order.

I would be prefectly happy with New Zealand only winning one world cup if their supporters werent such blowasses. I mean they are a very good rugby team but they are not the best team in the world and nor will they be until they are the reigning world cup champions.

Even on this forum "icon of world sport". Give me a f**king break. Icons of sport usually win more regularly in the best tournaments their sport has to offer. Chokers.

To say the Tri Nations is harder to because its longer is stupid, its like saying the NRL minor premiership is harder to win than the actual premiership. A team in any sport is at its best when they can actually beat another team that are playing their best also. New Zealand knock over a piss poor Wallabies team in the Tri Nations and think they are king sh*t yet when we are up for a world cup you cant touch us.

Which teams would you consider "icons of sport" going off your criteria?

This one is about Tahu and how he is going to kick some arse in the Sky-Blue.

In other words, a fantasy thread.

Why are you even bothering Laurie?

In 4 weeks time you'll go missing again, just like last year.

If i was you I’d be getting ready for the canning the Bummies are going
to receive in 2 hours time

I've never gone missing. Was around right to the end last season, although I'd forgive you if you've completely blacked 2007 out of your mind as I correctly predicted that the Waratahs would have a woeful year.

My hot tip: they'll back it up with an even worse year in 2008 while the Brumbies take the comp.

45 minutes Laurie.

Better clip your beard and tie the hair back.

The press conference should be a doosie.

P.S No thongs allowed.

Well, you got your wish. What an awful performance.

Tahu will go well but it will take him a bit of time to adjust, was a good call putting him on the wing to start with. As for him being smashed by the likes of Nonu etc, as if he would be scared of him. He faced players just as big and strong in League.

As for the competition this year, I think any Australian team will be lucky to make the finals. Brumbies & QLD are sh!t, Force not much better and NSW might have the players on paper to do ok but they proved otherwise last year, I guess they might sneak into the 4 if they keep all players fit.

As for the icon comment for the All Blacks, I believe they are. They may have only won 1 world cup but they are easily the best side in the world imo, even if they are not world champions. They also do not wear dresses, only handbags!!!!

I heard the commentators say that this was an exiting game of Rugby on a few occasions. I only watched it to see what Tahu is capable in the slow format. He'll have plenty of cold nights from what I can see and if that was a cintilating game of rugby, than I'd hate to see a bad game.

Also, I enjoyed the refs comments when he said to Phil Waugh "what you did was admirable" when controlling himself in a scuffle.

The new rules are a good move imo, there was nowhere near as much kicking as in previous years.

Tahu barely saw any action until his final 5 minutes, but he had a couple of nice touches.

Actually, the only time he looked dangerous was when he chimed in for that last try. He moved from the left wing to right centre and created a nice ball for the outside man. When you think about it, he could go through the season with about 50 touches of the ball. That would be $10,000 per touch. ...amazing

Tahu OUT for 6 weeks.

Tahu will now undergo a special rehab program that includes re-inventing his running style with the help of biomechanics experts.

The decision came as Tahu revealed he has not been able to fully stretch out since about 2001 despite establishing himself as the premier centre in the NRL.

"I have never really opened up 100 per cent in sprinting since I was 20 or 21," Tahu told the NSW Rugby podcast Tah Talk.

"Even during my NRL seasons I would always hold back because it's a fear I have got of tearing my hamstring again if I did open up to 100 per cent.
