Tariq charged

Absolute rubbish decision, the biggest grubs in our game survive week either getting off or minor charges. Green winges & the league listens. And they wonder why more & more people are getting disillusioned with the game based on rubbish administration at the NRL.
This....if you whinge for long enough someone listens. He is due for a decision going his way..so he says. Why did not Munster whinge against McGuire's eye gouge...cause according to Annesley insufficient evidence to charge him and he had an oriign looming

Ridiculous , unbelievable , as usual the N.R.L. requires a sacrificial lamb and as usual the Dragons are it . How many times has this occurred in the recent past ? The league makes a big song and dance about how they are going to clean the game up and they pick a totally isolated incident and innocent victim to whom they show no mercy . Does anyone recall Tyson Fizzell bumping into the referee a few years back ?

Thank goodness that there are little angels like Josh Maguire and George Burgess playing the game !

The crazy thing is mate, there really was nothing in it.
All fans want is consistancy and fairness.
Well, the only consistant thing l see is that our club and players are made to be the scapegoats.
I despise Beattie and his fellow shonks on the board.
They are so far out of touch with the fanbase.

Can we get NSW to help us fight it? I don't feel confident about our club organising anything on their own.
mate its not a NSW issue...can see where your coming from re Origin but it aint gonna happen...as I repeat myself if Morgan had of got up and played on, it wouldn't have been deemed illegal but because he went off they say hang on The Cowboys were disadvantage so it was...so my question is was it illegal based on the actions of the tackle or was it illegal based on the result...….its like being pregnant you cant be nearly pregnant you either are or your not

on a side note will be interesting to see if Tariq is named in the NSW side on Sunday night...as I said previously barring any injuries this weekend with Klemmer coming back doubt whether he will get a run anyway even if he beats the charge

Yes , he has hit harder than that in the past , Cooper Cronk in the 2018 Anzac Day clash and in the 1st semi against the Broncos , but undoubtedly the nrl wants blood - or should I say needs blood to show all that they are in fact fair dinkum when they say they will not tolerate foul play . Just hope that anyone that has had his finger ( all the way up to the knuckle ) in the eye of another player cops a much severer penalty than our boy Tariq .
As to the board members the lest said about them the better - a complete waste of oxygen.

What a joke.
This is all because Andrew Johns ranted about protecting halfbacks.
They will be untouchable soon, this will change the game.
Tariq shouldn't fight the charge, he will lose and get the extra week because they are trying to make a statement. Must appease the likes of Andrew Johns and the media at all costs.
Screw the NRL and screw the channel 9 commentary team!!!

I think there’s a lot of bad timing in this unfortunately for Tariq with the news coming out yesterday about concussion in the game.
Make mistake this decision is driven by this. Beattie & Greenburg are so reactionary their finger prints are all over this which imo is why he’s been hit with a grade 2 lol.
I said last night it was a good legal tackle which was looked at by the bunker who saw nothing in it. The NRL, if that is the case should get rid of the bunker as they seem to get a lot of things wrong.

Totally agree mate, the timing is a bitch and probably played a big part in the reaction. I'm ok with the judiciary having a look at it under the circumstances, but i expect it will be cased dismissed. If he gets a penalty however, there be outrage.

I certainly remember that incident and Tyson was suspended as a result which was an absolute joke. I don't think any other player has been suspended since then even though there have been several players touching the refs. The latest one was today (Titans v Sea Eagles) - can't remember the Titans player who did it but the touch of the ref was much worse than Tyson's and there was just nothing said - unbelievable.

I cannot believe that Tariq has been charged. To me it wasn't reckless nor was it late. It was a good tackle. Anyway, we always seem to cop these things don't we? We do not appear to be a well liked club by officials of the NRL. Makes me as angry as hell and p.ss.s me off.

Now watch your P’s and Q’s there Dragon David ! However you are correct as so many of our fellow members have pointed out , at worst it was fractionally late , but not malicious in any way . There are certainly a lot of players who walk the tightrope every week with the referee and yet they can get away with their foul deeds and go unpunished .

Ridiculous call to put in report, and we had better fight the charge!

Sims was committed... and needed to be in case Morgan throws a dummy.
Not late, not high, and he doesn’t carry on and try to bury Morgan. It was just a nice hard hit, a good hit... and yes unfortunate Morgan was injured, but it was completely legal...

if you can’t commit to a tackle in case a guy passes, the game is screwed.

To lose 2 games because of a good tackle that Tariq was committed to would be a disgrace. In this new age of NRL under Beattie and his kind, anything goes when it comes to appeasing the Qld media.

And it is just a coincidence that SGI players JDB and T Sims are the targets for setting policy. Our CEO should grow a set and rebuff the decision by defend Sims publicly.
