News Taylan May assault charge

That’s what he did. He grabbed a bloke, threw him to the ground. Well f**k me, in the scheme if things I can’t figure why he has not been sentenced to jail time. Go figure.

Mate that still classifies as assault. The court found May guilty but decided against recording a conviction. That is not the same as being found not guilty. Its just there is no record of any punishment on his file. Its basically the equivalent of getting an official warning.

You can be punished for assault by a court by something other than jail time, for example being fined. A mate of mine got pushed by someone so he pushed them back, they fell over. AS this happened on public transport, the Transit Police wound up getting involved. My mate wound up being fined $400 for common assault. So please spare us the b/s thanks.

Gus has spoken, please don't drown anyone with your tears you sooks.

Bulldogs boss Phil Gould has launched a stunning defence of Taylan May, claiming the young Panthers star “should be congratulated” after being found guilty of assault.

May was fined $7500 by the NRL, ordered to undergo counselling and suspended for two games over the incident at a pub during the Panthers grand final celebrations.

The suspension, however, will only be enforced ar the start of the 2023 season meaning May is eligible to play for the Panthers in the NRL finals series.

Drop dead Apey!
I have never said anything like Gus did. He has been punished by the court and by the NRL. Let it go, get on with the finals!
You sound like Paul Kent!

Is this still going? May has been punished enough, the whole world has seen his cowardly grab from behind of a drunk gronk who was outnumbered 15-1. Spare him any further embarrassment.

Gus laying down the law, as usual.

The off-season from hell is coming in hot. Should be a blast.

Gus always has an agenda not sure what Taylan's contract status is but wouldnt suprise me if the Dogs are trying to sign him.
That was my first thought too. Gus playing the long game, doesn’t have to be about signing Taylan exclusively, just a gentle reminder to players that Gus will have your back.
