"Rochow has made one dominant career in his entire life"

Wut?

Anyway, fwiw Rochow is a reliable defender. Doesnt hit all that hard but wont miss many.

His foot work is good for a forward

Sorry, brain was fried from study.

Rochow has made one dominant tackle in his entire career***

TBH, I know I shit on Rochow a lot. However, if he wasn't such a cream puff in defence I'd absolutely want to keep him here as our first backrower picked. He is great in attack, capable of running great lines, good footwork, fast. He just simply looks very, very soft in D. If I had to run at any of our forwards, it'd be him in a heartbeat.

I think Rochow has a lot more to his game than Tanner did.

Remember those days?

Reegan Tanner, Matt Kennedy, Luke Quiqley, Dan Tolar all running around together.

Dire.

Luke Lewis? He's like a thousand years old. Us buying him would go against everything browny has said. Sounds like someone is pulling stuff out their arse

Wasn't it Regan Tanner who did somewhere between 1 and 3 offloads over the course of an entire season and he played close to every game that year? An undersized lock forward who didn't offload the ball. How he played the amount of games that he did still shocks me..

So we've played 6 games of 2016 and I feel a lot has changed since the beginning of the season. A few reflections thus far:

- We need a centre or a fullback for 2017
- We have one of the best forward packs in the comp that will only get better with more experience
- We don't need Rochow
- The Saifitis will be stars and should be the club's priority
- Lachlan Fitzgibbon and Jaelen Feeney are not yet first graders with the former not even capable of ever being one

We need to go hard for a centre and or fullback for 2017

Anyone else think gags' career in the centres is over? I think we've found our fullback solution and now we need to chase a good centre.... Not convinced brenko Lee is the answer. Any other centres off contract we should look into?

Based off this list, the only off-contract centres that really stick out to me are the young Jenning's brothers from Penrith. Contracts mean nothing these days though. I wouldn't mind Pete Mata'utia. He was impressive when he was playing centre last year IMO. Wouldn't have to break the bank for him in the first place and he'd probably take even less to come home and play with his brothers.

The very same Pete mat who has been dropped from the worst attacking side in the history of rugby league in Australia?

Toohey reckons Brenko Lee will re-sign with Raiders. If we keep showing the spirit and culture change here every week regardless of result I rate that as our biggest chance at bringing players here until the cap mess is fixed. This time next year I think we will be feeling a lot better as Brown will be looking at the money he has with the ability to move players on for the following year. I am actually enjoying watching this side every week. They are growing in confidence with a bit of arrogance creeping in as well.

Considering how pathetic BJ was on the weekend he might think he's a chance of taking his spot. That being said he'd walk into the left centre position in our side.

I take your point but is Stuart the type of coach to drop a bloke with BJ's brains???? He would have very well known what BJ was like well before the opportunity came up to buy him. He's already had a number of poor games this season. He's seems to be regressing if that's possible.
