Barry Toohey has indicated swapping Randall for Kostjaysn would improve the salary cap situation.

Hahahahahahah...

Randell is probably my favourite player at the moment, but if he is impacting the Salary Cap that much it just shows how shit Hags truly is.

(it does make me wonder what the 2001-06 years would have been like with someone not shit running the club)

I'm more than happy to lay the boot into Hagan but where were the adults when all this insanity was playing out. Where was the CEO, where was the board and football committee. Couldnt anyone add up or read a spreadsheet and bell the cat on the impending issues.

Gidley has been CEO since 2011 and, in that time, the club has run itself into a pit...

He appointed (or at least was too weak to stop) a dead-fish coach in Stone and an innumerate numpty in Hagan as the guy handing out contracts.

How does Gidley possibly still have a job?!?!?!!?!?
Either he is f*cking us around or he is doing nothing as others f*ck us around.

Randell on a big contract... or even an average wage contract... is just so Hages. He really wasted no time in steering the club into the ground the second time around. The bloke just has zero ability to recognise talent or to put a price on it.

Gidley will surely be sacked by someone eventually. It sure is frustrating not knowing what our timeframe for fixing the mess is. No-one seems willing to put their nuts on the line and give us a number and a plan. Hopefully someone is tracking KPI's somewhere... lol...

Yeah it's actually very impressive that he managed to f*** the club up so bad in only 1 year... Gidley also deserves a big portion of the blame and Stone deserved the blame and quite rightly copped the sack for the on field stuff but Michael Hagan truly is a special piece of work... Imagine if he stayed longer...

I'm pretty much convinced nothing will ever change and I have conceded to the fact we will fold within the next 5 years.

Any other club wouldn't even have Randall in FG let alone making enough money to hurt our cap. f**k me dead.

I read the article and Randell isnt being moved on, there was just an assumption that we would move on because he was 3rd string hooker.

The bloke has a nice contract for 2017 so he's no moving unless we are paying.

Does seem currently that our focus is more about the vibe of the club than real performance. I note that Brown said that if the fans see young players putting in, then they will be happy with that.

We've reached the point where we don't even care about winning anymore.

In reality, I expect nothing will happen with Gidley before a buyer is sourced. The NRL and Board would not be looking to do anything to destabilise the club further before this happens and I'm sure they would expect that the buyer would make that one of their first priorities anyway and by leaving him in place, it makes the choice of a replacement part of the enticement. The alternative is, they make a change that won't have time to impact on performance but possibly tie a buyer in to having to see how they perform.

In practicality, there is no advantage to the NRL/board in doing anything at present... as sad as it is, keeping him won't affect the selling price but sacking him would only create more instability and drive the price down further for mine

Well f**k me.can any of us complain if Randell is on such big money we would have to pay part of his wages just to move him on!

Not one merkin here has right to complainabout performance if this is true. We are f**ked into 2018. No fault of the coach. Mooneys talent is being wasted as well. Why would he stick around if we have none to spend......the guy builds but he has no f**king budget!

Jarrod Mullen on the bench until he inevitably gets injured again (which is why he isn't in the starting side - we can't afford a key player in our spine to be in 1 week out 8 weeks). We need two hard-nose front rowers and a 5/8, Mamo is showing enough at fullback for now

Like Mamo but we're in huge trouble again next year if he's our first choice fullback. It's so important we go out big for one in 2017. It's the main position we need to target imo and I don't care if we have to throw overs at a Holmes or Lolohea. Do whatever it takes.

It sucks that Mullen has been injured so much as we aren't a team worth feeding without him at the moment.

With his athleticism, work rate and courage all he really needs is a half decent passing game to be a decent fullback but he's had almost 3 seasons now and hasn't made any progress IMO.

If Mamo has a career a tenth as good as kidleys he'll be very very lucky.

He's off contact next year, hopefully we trade him and Gagai in for someone who knows what they are doing.
