i would really be surprised if this is actually the starting team.
i think Beau Scott may line up in the centers as usual and someone like Micky Paea play in the back row.
the panthers are a big physical side and Paea in the back row and scott in the centers would add that extra size we need.

yea bit worried about chase stanley myself, but hopefully with some good workers in defence around him he should be ok. And i hope he been a sponge in the last few months and soaked up all the expertise of Bennett has to offer. Plus with him being a Kiwi we need as many good players as we can get, especially after the other weeks embarrassment.

Watched the interview with Soward linked to in the team sheet, it's priceless, he couldn't even remember who we played last weekend, the sharks must have left a lasting impression

haha just watched it

People must take into consideration chase will still only be 19 when he plays on Friday. He has 40 odd top grade games under his belt. Repd his country and had a few nigglinv injuries. Don't know how many other players have done that before their 20th. Once he gets some confidence in his defense he will prove to be a great talent.

Also, marketo must be injured??? Not playing for the 20s either he must be spewing to miss his chance to play in the top grade. I was pumped to see him have a run! Oh wells if prior stays injured for a while we know we got plenty of depth.

I'm not a fan of Stanley but he is only young. If you look at Ben Creagh's earlier games he was poor as well, especially when Browny started him at wing against the Warriors. Stacey Jones targetted him all game and they got 3 tries out of it. Dragons lost by 1 try in the end I think from memory.

Chase should be given a few more games before we can make judgement. If he has not improved after being dropped earlier in the season it would be a concern but for Benny to select him he must see some improvement.

He got the nod against Emmett so Emmett mustn't be that impressive.

Has BMOZ ever played centre. He has the build for it so I am sure he could handle it. They should of put BMoz at centre. Nighty on the wing, Hornby at FB and Head at Half.

I am hanging to see Head and Soward play in the halves together for a full game.

I understand that, but the other option is we keep a developing guy on the team that gets poached as soon as he reaches his potential.

If he's not good enough now, why not do what other teams do, and let someone else (which used to be us) develop him into a good first grader and then poach him.

Just look at "Feet for Hands" Brent Kite... guy killed us for ages, he comes good, gets selected for Origin then Manly poach him.

I cannot believe Stan has been chosen. His inept tackling ability cost us the only games he has played this year against the storm and knights, he was just watching slater score and let ben rogers run past him to let macdougall score the eventual match winner. I hope he does well, but I don't see it! He will need to prove himself to the Knights if he is going to get some first grade with them next year (or 2011)
