With the side named it'll be a pretty dire attacking game on our side, no more flashy skillful tries, just wear them down and beat them down efforts like the 2000 Broncos.

And the 2000 Broncos were a pretty damn great side, so I wont complain. I'm a huge sideshow fan so I'm happy to see him get a run, however, Kativerata is hopeless. Average with the ball, horrible without it. He'd give away an overlap with 13 on 7 he's that hopeless in positional defense, and I don't see him adding anything to the side at all other than some great missed tackles and handy overlaps on the outside for the Dogs to score in the corner.

But hey, every year there's one, and I'd rather it be a dopey winger than a dopey halfback....

Mixed feelings??......No Witt, Thorman..but we have Stapleton, Peek and a very impressive forward pack.

Wise, Petterson??......give me a break.

Who is this Petterson bloke

if your going to bag his at least get his name right

I don't pay that much attention to him hence the spelling error, he'll miss a dozen tackles and drop the ball countless time like previously.

the only players i think should not be in the side are, Wagon & Peterson
i dont mind Kativerata hes not the best winger but he played some good games with souths last yr and i hope he uses his size and strength to his adventage

RJ Peterson runs hard all day, is desceptively quick and isn't anywhere near as bad a defensive player as you are suggesting. He also has an excellent try scoring record for us. Alot of people are saying he is susceptible to a 'brain explosion' but can you honestly give us an example of one from last year? I think he's a very promising player and he has improved with each game for us. Give the bloke a fair go.

As for Wise K, I can't comment as I haven't seen him play a single game for us or for Souths last year. From all reports he was pretty good in the trials though and scored a couple of tries. Anyone see him in the trials?

Before we hang draw and quarter Smith, lets just see how we go on Saturday.
I have seen none of the trials, Smith has seen them all and all the training he is in a postion to see who is in form etc.
Just give him a go.
And anyway the Dogs should stand down the 6 players under investagation. Police, Doctors etc are stood down while investagations continue, it's only fair.

He comes in alot in defense & his positional play at the back for kicks, high ball etc was terrible last year, maybe he has improved.....i hope so for Parra sake...but untill i see him have a blinder against quality opposition my opinion won't change.

Boy i hope he has improved.

Would everyone be confident in Peterson if he was marking Utai??

Sonny Bill williams will run over Peterson because he can't tackle. Wise Kateverata has defensive problems what on earth is our coach doing???

I just hope Un-Wise will get off his wing and do some work to relieve our forwards

parraren and parramaters have valid points. lets see how we go first. I actually like Peterson at Centre. I have never rated Vaealiki and think that he is very overrated. Has he for eg ever had 2 big games for us in a row. I think not.

O'Dwyer will play first grade before round 5. He is something special. I have seen him play. Have mates at the GC that say he is that type of kid that is good at everything. He is the perfect player for us to compliment our large fowards. Play him at lock and see!!!

Stapleton is a good player, i watched a few of his games last yr with saints and was hoping that we would buy him

We definately need a long term player at #4, i think when Luke O'dwyer will slot in there perfectly. I rate this backline; 1.Graham/Burt 2.Grothe 3.Lyon 4.O'Dwyer 5.Burt/Graham.

I am looking forward to seeing young talent break into this team. Players such as Witt, Graham, Armit, Tsoulos, Thorman and O'Dwyer. I recon most of these guys are going to get into the top 17 fulltime by seasons end with some regulars taking a dive out of first grade.

i agree, i think Vaealiki has not hit his form that he once had, i'd like to see Graham or Langi in the centres some time this yr
