Don't you just think that the 23rd of May is perhaps a little too early to go picking your grand final side? I mean, seriously, if you can find a similar thread in another team's forum I'd be pretty surprised.

I'm not predicting that you will make it or you won't, but an awful lot came happen in the next 13 or so rounds. Its just a little too presumptious to go picking your grandfinal side when you haven't:

a) Made the finals
b) Made the grand final

Optimism is a great attribute, but there's an awful fine line between optimism and arrogance.

Fair enough my comments were a bit harsh - and in hindsight I wouldn't have made them so full-on. However the point stands - no team in the comp should be picking their grand final team before they actually make it.

Ok, let me start the same thread in the Bulldogs and see what will happen. I wonder if people would be quite so forgiving!

My objection is that Newcastle haven't:

a) Made the finals
b) Made the grand final

You don't see this sort of thread in any other team's forums because other teams' fans realize there's a lot of footy left to be played this year.
