Yep

Didnt the AFL games get played on Fri/Sat .... couldnt they have opened them up Sunday?

And yeah, concert ... FFS
I think like the NRL the AFL obviously need to organise codes and stuff for members which can't be done until it's confirmed what team is playing.

Sunday would have been too hard gives everyone that extra day to organise getting tickets.

Next week the NRL won't release preliminary final tickets till Monday despite last game being Saturday.

Actually i assume maybe its cos there are still walk up outlets to buy tickets from??? And they wont staff them on a weekend

Taking a look at the Raiders squad it is an interesting set up. Only 7 players in their 34 man squad grew up within 3 hours drive of Canberra.

Sebastian Kris, Nic Cottic, Matt Frawley, Harvey Smith-Shield, Zac Woolford, Jarrod Croker, and Clay Webb.

3 of these players (Cotric, Frawley and Woolford) actually left Canberra and were later re-signed.

Only two of those are what you consider still development players.

The purchasing of tix today was nothing short of disgraceful.
I was on my laptop, phone and the app and couldn't get through.
My mate already purchased his tix and said I will try and get back on see if I can purchase them for u. He was successful.
Now there was no need to have Souffs v Sharks tix available from 10am. Could've even delayed them til tomorrow or say 3pm today.
Even the AFL tix same thing.
Not very well thought out by ticketek.
What's even more dissapointing is that season ticket holder can't just redeem their own seats.
It's not that hard...
Another mess our great game has got itself in.
I was waiting 2 hours but thankfully my mate came to my rescue to get me the 6 tix I needed..

The Canberra recruitment staff should start door knocking on every house like crazy within a 7 minute drive to acquire local talent.

Is the Riverina now more AFL orientated.

That is what i would consider Canberra's catchment for players.

Wagga i believe for example is more an AFL town then League these days.

The AFL and NRL finals have been thrown into chaos, with tens of thousands of fans unable to purchase tickets after the Ticketek website crashed.
A high demand for tickets for the two NRL semifinals, the AFL preliminary finals and country singer Luke Combs's upcoming tour, which all went on sale at 10am Monday morning, left many fans locked out after queuing on the site for hours.
Customers vented their frustrations over social media after being continuously re-routed to an error page.

Available tickets for Saturday's AFL preliminary final between Sydney and Collingwood have already sold out, with more tickets to be released on Thursday.
The supporter tickets for all four clubs in action in this week's NRL semifinals have also been exhausted.
Despite the drama, bumper crowds are expected for all four matches.
