Merkins are right, we limped in to the semis, could not fight our way out of a wet paper bag most of the year and are playing a side that is humming. It's a false dawn mate. We're long odds to win this and merkins are pumping up our tyres because that's what the media do otherwise nobody would give a shit. Build us up so there is something to write about when we lose.

This Penrith side of the last 3 seasons is one of the biggest overachieving squads in history of the game. Just shows what a weak NRL era we live in.

Joel Caine raised a stat about 6 weeks ago.

The last 2 final series Penrith have scored the same amount of tries as what they have conceded in both finals series.

They haven't won or lost final since 2020 by more then a converted try & their F/A is +1 and they made 2 Gfs in that period. Won 2 finals by a penalty goal last year.

They haven't been the same dominant force in finals yet with this squad that has blown teams away.

Obviously panthers are the best only conceding 13.75 points per game……against us they conceded 22 points first game and had already conceded 12 points within the first 20 or so in the second game (discount the remaining game as Cleary was sent)…..

our attack does trouble the panthers more then others…

need to limit our errors / defend strong, as we will get points ….
