I mean, sure, but i'd have still given Moses and Paulo some mins, even if i was 15-20. Its not like we're easing into the season, its Storm in Melbourne and Moses hasn't played a club game in what, nearly 9 months.

Joffa missing too - so he's either a lock in, or in the dog house for dacking.

I see no benefit in starting Lussick however. Start Smith and interchange him with Hands. Lussick surely cant even be under consideration.

Injured....Lane,Simmo,Haze,Hawkins also

Not a BA thing, traditionally its an NRL thing. Looking across the games, with the exception of the teams heading to Vegas, everyone has named a full strength team (minus injuries of course) apart from, well, us.

Injuries and Dylan a wedding have ruled a lot out.

Yeh true - I was just commenting from a Parra perspective.

And after seeing the sides named.
Parras side is weak, Manly also and Penriths I barely heard of players.

Penrith's main squad is travelling to Vegas on Thursday I believe so not available for the trial game.

Not sure who f*cked up the scheduling there... Canberra/Sharks/Wahs all played their second trial last weekend and Penrith didn't play.

Penrith are a professional outfit and the Media love to suck them dry but its a pretty amateur stuff up. Most of their first graders will be going into the Sharks game without a run.

So Kautoga must be a good chance of winning the other edge spot.

With only really Paulo to come back for round 1 and Cartwright looking out of contention, is big Sammy a chance of a bench spot with a big game? Looks like it might be Doorey, Luca, Sammy and maybe Guymer (assuming matto/offa are locked in) fighting it out for 2, maybe 3 bench spots (depending if he carry a utility).

Given the injuries/availabilities, I think the chosen backline is the best available.

Iongi
Russell
Penisini
Lomax
Tago
Twidle
Volkman

So only Addo-Carr, Simonssen, Brown and Moses to return and really push anyone out of those starting jerseys imo. Addo-Carr listed on the bench, so might come in for Tago in Round 1 if fit enough?

Will be interesting to see how Twidle and Volkman go in this company/at this level.
