*shartand you all thought I was an old fart
My concern is the workload Tago took on last week. Barely remember him touching the ball other than strolling over for try. He may have had penis fingers but at least AMS went looking for workAh shit, I keep misreading that injury list chart.
I do think Russell and Tago are best available, until any of the others are ready. Russell's done it before (and is now a rep player!) and we relied on Tago for a whole month last season. I don't think Penisni Jr or AMS have shown/done enough to earn a NRL debut.
3 attempts, no tries - and one of them will be on the last tackle....Odds for Lussick going for a barge over?
My money is for 2 attempts and 1 try.
Any takers?
I did think the same....but I now reckon he is in front of Carty...He just needs a solid game this weekend and he gets the other starting edge spot. Unless there is injuries, I reckon Cartwright is NSW cup bound for round 1...No way he is ahead of Bryce. Good project but his hands are like feet
It's up there with second roeGreat gag
Yep, outside of the spine and the wingers, defence is a lot more important than a merkin's hands.I did think the same....but I now reckon he is in front of Carty...He just needs a solid game this weekend and he gets the other starting edge spot. Interesting times ahead, good to have options!
Is he a good defender? Last week was the first time I’ve seen him play, hard to take much from a 1st trialYep, outside of the spine and the wingers, defence is a lot more important than a merkin's hands.
I don' t know if he's a good defender, but if he gets picked ahead of more experienced options despite his handling issues, it's probably his defence that's done it. In the brief time I saw him play, he looked like he had a good mix of agility and power; two useful qualities for an edge defender. Is he a good defender? I want that merkin Ryles to fail big time!!I think Ryles is keeping it cool because you do have to remember we play the Tigers in Rd 2 & 7.
So keeping his cards close to his chest.
Iongi will be fullback any discussion about Papali'i is just media looking for discussion atm.
How the forwards line up in Round 1 will be interesting.
With Lane out to round 4 i struggle to see how he gets a run.
I headed over to TCT to see there thoughts as they have a firmer idea on training and maybe give a bit more indication of the squad Ryles has picked.
All the chat/thread actually got turned into was admiring BA's record and how all the haters are wanting Ryles to fail.
Talk about failing to read to room.
