Haven’t watched lower grades enough but what I’ve seen of him in first grade has been pretty average. On the law of averages and probability, we’re better served having rein in the team.

Can I lock in Option C please Eddie? And the other fella has been impressive?

Rein provides less utility than Jrthur. On the law of averages and probability, we’re better served having rein in the team.
Rein provides less utility than Jrthur.
We’ve realistically got 15 definites at the moment including Oregon.
Marata/Matto cover lock and edge, they also cover prop less suitably but at least similarly to their usual roles. They can also cover centre if absolutely needed, however a lot less suitably than usual role and wouldn’t be adequately prepared. Any other position (including Matto in halves) would only be in absolute desperation.
Oregon is necessary because RCG/Junior can’t play 80 minutes effectively. He can cover “lock” but not really anywhere else unless desperate.
Due to the rest of the team makeup, we do need another prop cover on bench. I think we’re better suited with Rodwell as he can cover edge the more suitably than others, but I also think Makatoa is “smarter” in a way. Nrown is an option but he is a different style which is both good and bad (if he runs those peak Nrown angles then good, if he just goes bash and barge then bad). I’m not sure he, Matto & Junior would be effective together but.
Assuming it’s only 1 of those 3 (4 if you include Ogden there) above, that leaves realistic options as:
Simonsson/Russell solely as backline injury cover because can’t cover anywhere else and provide no other impact
Perham mainly as entire backline injury cover, could in theory provide impact elsewhere if shoved into a Dylan Walker style role but that’s untested and possibly doesn’t suit
Jrthur provides injury cover for halves and can also rest Mahoney but less suitably. He doesn’t cover anywhere else, however Moses/Drown do but that should only be in desperation
Cartwright basically copy and paste Matto/Marata. He covers prop a lot less less compared to them, but he has the more defined potential impact compared to all other options.
Rein provides rest for Mahoney. Playing him anywhere else is desperation.
Who gets picked probably comes down to preparation, key teammates health and who the opposition is. Questions we can only guess the answers to

He knocked out Boyd Cordner 3 times in his career. The Storm are the biggest protected species in the game, Kaufusi is nuts for leaving he’s going to spend half his Dolphins contract on the sidelines.
Can't help whom your Dad (or cousin) are.*whom, they are related to
BA should be also putting pressure in the media for the refs to protect our players, put the pressure on the NRL and refs to do something about the grubby merkins. He knocked out Boyd Cordner 3 times in his career.
Knocked out Matto & broke Moses back in Origin.
And injured plenty more.
BA should be instructing the side to give extra treatment every time he is tackled this week for the cheap shots he has done our players across the past few years.

I remember he did it in 2017 and Bellamy blew a gasket over it haha.BA should be also putting pressure in the media for the refs to protect our players, put the pressure on the NRL and refs to do something about the grubby merkins.
I never lost faith in him.C - Barnie Hasslet.
How many times has that happened this season? Broncos lost Reynolds last week despite him defending on an edge.I said on the law of probability. Rheed is in the middle and defending against middle forwards. He touches the ball more than our halves and makes more tackles. He’d probably be more likely to be ko’d by an opposition forward. So it would (imo) make more sense to have cover for rheed over our halves. If one of our halves do go down I’m sure rein could fill in if need be.
