And in the two performances put in by rein, I was far from impressed. But from here on in, we need to give ourselves the best chance of winning. We’ve proven we can beat any team on our day, (ex south’s) do we need to go in games with a handicap?

Playing rein for a 15 minute cameo could be an attacking master stroke. Not only would he be cover for any injury, but also an asset in attack.
What in any of Rein’s performances in NRL or NSW Cup make you think it’d be an attacking master stroke? He isn’t going to come on and be Kevin Kingston.
If you applied that to Cartwright, I’d agree, but Rein is an older version of Reed, he’d just play the same style

No he runs from hooker and is twice as fast. Even in his two games with us he made some great scoots. Problem was he dropped the ball twice. IMO that was just unlucky and was worth persisting with. But master coach likes to hold some players accountable for mistakes while others get a free pass.

Yep, looking at their stats Rein averages about 50m a game to Rheed's 30m. And Rein is clearly faster. I agree he should have been given more games.

So what in any of ja’s performances in nrl or NSW cup make you think he’s worthy of a spot?

We know rheed doesn’t run much. If our forwards lay the platform, we can use Reins running game.

Having rein on the bench can also be a cover for halves/hooker.

Or are you defending the coaches choice of bench?

The furore over the lack of punishment for Storm players should auger well for us. I can see NAS or Kaufusi being sent off this weekend should anything untoward occur.
Need the crowd on Thursday night to pressure the refs as well.

So everyone going get your voices ready let's make it a cauldron.

There isn't enough of a difference to say Rein would be an attacking master stroke though, as was claimed. It wouldn’t be a Keating/Kingston combo

Once again you’re cherry picking my words.

either that or you’re struggling to understand what the word ‘could’, means.

Nothing I say is going to remove your blinkers. You clearly don’t like him and will wilfully ignore a) the good he has done and b) the bad the other options are also capable of and have done.
We know rheed doesn’t run much. If our forwards lay the platform, we can use Reins running game.

Having rein on the bench can also be a cover for halves/hooker.
Is Rein such a good runner that we should give him licence to run instead of giving the ball to Moses, Drown, Lane, etc?
And Rein has never played in the halves, his skills don’t seem particularly suited to the halves so he’d only be covering the halves in name only.
I’m not anti-Rein but I think his role is like Lussick from last year, if Reed isn’t available then Rein will be named. I think the only way he is on bench is if Reed is under massive injury cloud.
Or are you defending the coaches choice of bench?
Yeah that’s it because I don’t hate Jrthur, I must be apologisting for BA.
We’ve got 15 easy picks, a 16th that’s realistically between 3 players (anyone of which could have a blinder or stinker) and a 17th that also probably between 3 players, depending on risk appetite.
If you’re not worried about positional injuries, it’s Cartwright. If you are worried about injuries, it’s Perham. Jrthur is somewhere between the 2

It could as much as moving Drown to centre and JA to half. And no I don’t want that to happen.

Agree. He may provide some spark and also may lose the ball at an important time and cost us the game.

One of the best things Rein provides is experience. I think he’s the only merkin at the club with 200 NRL games.

I’d check, but I’m on the shitter.
