We know rheed doesn’t run much. If our forwards lay the platform, we can use Reins running game.

This would actually change our structure though. We already have better options after a quick play-the-ball than a dummy half run.

This. The option to run from dummy half is nice to have, but not worth changing your game plan for. The Storm love to give the dummy half freedom to run against a scattered defence but that suits their roster because they have two excellent dummy half runners. Both far better than Mitch Rein.

One of the best things Rein provides is experience. I think he’s the only merkin at the club with 200 NRL games.

Agree. He may provide some spark and also may lose the ball at an important time and cost us the game.

But he might be better at picking up a loose ball cause we know for sure and certain Rheed has dyslexic hands in those situations.

I think good hookers will get a few steaps forward before pass and engage the markers and take them out of play or atleast ove them.
Rheed I feel doesn even do this. It means the markers will just move towards ball. If you watch Cook or Api etc they don't always run. They rarely run but the markers are worried so engage. They basicaly play games with them and keep them on their toes.
Everyone knows Reed doesn't run. If he does he won't get far, he is as slow as a turtle.
Sometimes the unknown is just as dangerous as the act.

But yes agree that Reins run game and engagement of the markers is better then Reeds it might be seen as also average and not dangerous enough to warrant selection.
